Add my name to the list of those ripped-off by Stores Online. Like others on this site, I received a no-name envelope in the mail promising a free meal and an organizer worth nearly $40 as premiun give-aways to hear a 90-minute presentation, which actually was a sales pitch get you to obligate for a longer session elsewhere. In my case, the presentation was held in Pensacola, Florida, where, as I've recently found out, there are state statutes mandating certain disclosures for business opportunity marketers, and the main event was held across the state line in Mobile, Alabama, where no such law is currently in force. I fell for it, charged $5598 on my Visa credit card for six sites on the 22nd of May, 2006, figuring I had a deal. I'm a retired Navy vet who's been through the employment mill, averaging a different position every 6 months, something that I've understood is typical in the panhandle of Forida, and I was looking for an opportunity to get somewhere. I'm also recovering from stage 3 cancer on my right lung from a fall on the job 2years ago this past March. The following Friday, back on the job with a local contractor through a local employment agency (I took Tuesday off to go to Mobile), I got to talking with a delivery driver about income opportunities on the 'net. We started comparing notes, as he'd been to a Stores Online thing the year before, and he proceeded to tell me about how this was a rip-off outfit, and his particular course of action. I had a stomach-turning time on the 'puter that night, as I g** "Stores Online Problems". One of the sites I found was this one. I've taken several steps, among them notifying my credit union through whom I've the credit card, as well as the state attorney generals' offices in both Alabama and Florida, who've handed my case over to Utah's Department of Commerce, who've put out a Cease and Desist Order as of the 28th of August for Imergent Inc./StoresOnline Inc. to stop misrepresenting themselves as selling business opportunities without being properly registered, which I found Wednesday the 13th of this month. I've also notified the states attorney generals offices in Alabama and Florida of the Utah Cease and Desist Order, the local Chambers of Commerce in Pensacola and Mobile, the local BBB's for NW Florida and Mobile, as well as the Pensacola Civic Center and the hotels in Mobile where their sessions have been held, as well as the person handling my case in the credit card department of my credit union. All my communication so far with Maribel Silva at Stores Online by phone and email have been to no avail, and like their lawyers, she will not admit to any wrong-doing. She keeps asking me for the reason I want a refund, representing that the company wants me happy with my purchase, but so far has not given me the RGA# for the boxed-up-for-months StoresOnline materials, or the refund of the purchase price plus the accumulated interest, despite several requests that she do so. I've not yet contacted the FTC or SEC, I am in process of contacting Al. Rep. Davis of the 96th District to see about remedying Alabama's lack of Business Opportunity Disclosure legislation. In the meantime, I would welcome any and all assistance to see these characters nailed to the wall for what they are, and busting big rocks into small ones. Michael Pensacola, Florida

You are an encouragement to me another that has been scammed. I hope you and all the rest of us get our money back from these thieves.

I filed a complaint to the Attorney General's office in PA, but there hasn't been enough complaints yet. My main intent was just to encourage you and let you know that with all that you are going through you still show great stregnth and energy which encourages me. I know of others who are just to lazy or prideful at having been scammed to do anything.

It is good to see a guy who when they get knocked down knows to get back up and keep pressing on. My prayers will be with you.
