My wife and I attended a timeshare presentation in June, 2011. We went into the presentation with the full intent of saying"no" to any offers presented to us. Throughout the presentation, we frequently asked very specific questions to ensure we weren't getting scammed by vague innuendos.

After seeing the property and being presented with a very energetic and convincing sales presentation, we agreed to purchase a timeshare! The logic behind the purchase was as follows:

#1) We spend ALOT of time in Branson. This would give us a place to stay anytime we're in town.

#2) We have several grandchildren and this would allow us the opportunity to spend more quality time with them on our frequent trips to Branson.

#3) This would allow us to finance our family vacations throughout the year instead of scrambling for money before each visit.

We were promised ONE week (7 days), each year at no additional cost at the resort. We simply had to pay a maintenance fee every THREE years (around $350.00) We would receive access to ANY Summerwinds resort property in the U.S. for a deeply discounted fee, which was/is of minor importance to us because Branson is our destination of choice.

NONE of what they offered us or what we agreed to has been the case! We tried to book our first family vacation there this past month and were told we only have access to our "FAMILY WEEK" every THIRD year! We can't even rent it at a discounted rate because this particular resort (Stormy Point) is not in our particular plan!

We were specifically told we were purchasing real property in Branson (1/50 of a piece of the house to be exact), which would give us access one week out of the year, and NOW we're told we can't even get a discount to rent it?!

We have tried to speak with the people who sold us the "property", but the basically told us to get lost, they don't handle it there. We're supposed to call Florida. People who didn't sell us the property and people with whom we have never spoke or had any dealings with. Disgusting behavior from Summerwinds employees and staff.

As a result of this misfortunate relationship with this company, my wife a nd I can no longer afford to take our grandchildren on vacations of any sort. The exact opposite action of what we intended with this purchase.
