The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Jason Spencer during an onsite inspection held by a third-party verification company with no biases towards Student Loan Relief.

Student Loan Relief is a company that assists people with the complicated ordeal of getting student loan forgiveness or significant payment reduction. Jason M. Spencer stated the following about his company, "It’s not necessarily the idea of getting them to go away or anything like that...it is making it more comfortable utilizing the programs that they could qualify for but don’t know about and will probably never know about. Because none of the companies involved or US Governments who create them, lets anyone know."

Leads for Student Loan Relief are obtained via word of mouth. They've never done any marketing. Mr. Spencer went on to express the sales process for individuals interested in their services, "we either call them or they call us. Then you get to know them a bit, ask them a series of questions that would get them qualified that we get them into certain programs and interview them. The person interviewing them would pass that information to researchers and they would decide which programs to get them into. The customer would get a proposal showing this is where you are - this is what we can offer you, do you want to work with us? If they wanted to move forward they could sign on the dotted line. It is an agreement, it puts everything on paper, and explains that we aren’t making any promises and you don’t pay us until we get that done."



CUSTOMER CARE & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION – STUDENT LOAN RELIEF

During the on-site interview, Mr. Spencer was asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. Mr. Spencer expressed that they rarely receive complaints due to their willingness to go above and beyond for their clients. He went on to describe a situation where they took on a client who was already in default. They were able to lower her payments to a manageable fee and ensure that if she made 11 consecutive payments the defaulted loan would be removed from her credit report. Since they had never taken on a client already in default they had they had some hiccups along the way, but were ultimately able to assist their client, "maybe we weren't flawlessly perfect, but it was a trail, we did another one, but it was a trial run for someone who was in default."

When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Spencer expressed that the complaints were made by an ex-employee, "The ex-employee lied about all his competencies and credentials and he was actually working for a competitor. This is all verifiable, I think I uploaded his actual resume that he has on Indeed.com onto Ripoff Report. But, he was actually a plant, working for the competitor." This ex-employee was under the impression that he had a contract with Student Loan Relief that would guarantee him a position. However, when the ex-employee presented what he considered to be a contract the first line stated: "This agreement can be canceled by either party any time for any reason." Which essentially negates the ex-employee’s argument.

When asked what type of changes they have made to honor their commitment to making things right with the consumer per the request of Ripoff Report, Mr. Spencer expressed that since the comments were made by an employee their company now documents everything. He additionally stated, "one thing I am sure to make clear to everyone is that you are not an NFL or NBA player - this is not a contract. I just make sure that people know that if you don’t show up to work - there is no guaranteed pay. We also do a lot more verifying of resumes instead of just trusting them."

Used Identity theft of paypal accounts. Listed hundereds of items on ebay through dormant unsuspecting ebay accounts that the business has hacked into. In order to keep creating new ebay accounts the company has set up new accounts through the unauthorized use of Indiana University (Bloomington) computer labs. (Switching computers at the University's labs to keep out of Ebay's IP address radar). The company will also lure unsuspecting franchise seekers on their website only to steal the identity of these individuals and use them to cover more listing fees (as he did to me). On top of unethical business practice the owner of Sold!(Bloomington Indiana Ebay consignment store)Jason Spencer has been caught with possession and trafficiting of illegal drugs. Jason is currently being investigated by the Bloomington Police Dept. Bill Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

I happen to know Jason Spencer through friends of mine and he would have to be the most loathesome type of business person one could imagine. Honestly, worst than a used car sales man since at least when buying a car you are getting something instead of being sold a dream.

My knowledge of this individual began when in college when I knew him as a Student. Jason was always a kiss *&*& to teachers, but always "appeared" to be a very smart student. Due to his personality, character, and looks it was easy for people to buy into the lies and scams he was selling.

While I do in fact believe he is very smart, he uses these smarts and keen senses to over amplify his status, capacities, and achievements. Jason has always tried to act like an individual of wealth and class but remains despicable as he continues his lies about the businesses he started and money he has made.

I remember on several distinct occassions, Jason described to me personally several businesses he claimed to have started and each one was either a flop, never existed, or was materially misstated. Jason continues these lies not only to business associates but to MULTIPLE unsuspecting females he prays upon.

This individual has also been caught selling illegal copies of software @ Indiana University and was suspended as a result.

My suggestion is to NEVER trust this individual. He is smart, savy, and very, very deceptive.

I would like to offer a common sense solution to this Ebay business venture gone bad.

All Chris (my son) is asking you to do is pay the $1342.30 to settle this once and for all. Chris worked many long hours at night trying to help you launch your business dreams working two jobs. You and I both discussed this in person several months ago which you said you would pay him the above amount.

These are the listing fees that were ran up in the ebay SOLD IT store account that you promise to pay him.

You have his phone number and you know mine as well. Lets just reason together and put all of this behind us and treat it like a divorce and nothing else will be said.

I trust you will clear this matter up in a professional way and lets everyone get on with more important matters.

Jason has had an opportunity to resolve this situation multiple times via personal encouter and certified mail and has ignored all attempts.

This is the biggest waste of time of my life!

This response is purely a "cost of doing business"... Although I want anyone that comes across this to know that I hate having to keep coming back to this riduculous website and responding to this Chris or Bill, which by the way you can easily figure out is the same person. Check the posting time of the last 2 comments by "Bill" and see he responded within a few hours of my last posting.

However stuff like this is yet another wonderful characteristic of having a business---you see somebody always thinks you owe them money----When you have money that you got via tireless hardwork somebody (usually a very unsuccessful person) thinks you owe them money.

In this "arguement" you initially see Chris or Bill saying that I have stolen ebay accounts and stolen paypal accounts which is a very prominent thing on the internet----however this is also a federal felony and a very serious crime and accusing someone of it has very serious ramifications. The accusor then goes on to accuse me of "attempting" to sell franchises then just stealing their identities instead....This one is pretty funny...Think about that folks, how on earth could that be pulled off without the authorities getting involved---it could not and would not ever happen...Then I am accused of trafficing illegal drugs, but the accusor admits I am a stock broker and if any of you know a broker or have the time to research what it takes to be one--you will find that you have to have a Federal Series 7 license from the US govt to do that job, and that requires a squeaky clean record......

And the final horrible accusation made by Chris Brown or bill, however he is pretending to be today is that I am under investigation by the Police-----BS! ....Look up my name on the net to see that I was at the last 2 Charity Policemens Balls and to see Pictures of me with the Mayor of our town at a number of different events

But in Bill or Chris's most recent rebuttal you will see come to light what the real situation is.. He feels I owe him a bit of money and hell, maybe I do, after all I am a small business owner I owe lots of people money..... lol.....But you can easily tell all the false allegations were made to get under my skin and cause me stress so that I will give him whatever he feels he is owed... nothing more and nothing less....just plain old black mail

But now my fun begins and I am very excited about this next part folks, because this story does not end here.... Recently precendent has been set in over 20 cases this year against putting false accusations about the character of someone or their business on the internet and I am going to spend what ever it takes---absolutely irreguardless of cost to teach this boy a lesson---- that you can not put lies about someone on the internet and if you think its true you better be able to prove it in court of law------

If the owner of this business wants to bring on a law suit against the former friend/employee of this owner, I will do all I can do defend the lies the owner has made against my friend. I pitty the owner and anyone who is dishonest and then instead of doing the right thing by correcting the problem, he respondes with negitivity and by throwing a big fit. The owner's accusation are untrue about the ex employee

To Whome It May Concern:

I found out about this report through a friend, so I decided to come onto Ripoff Report to check it out. I found the comments of the owner very untrue about the ex employee. I want to inform all of you I have not been asked to come here by the ex employee, as a matter of fact the ex employee doesn't even know I am writing this response right now.

I have know the ex employee since I was a child and I have known his family since I could remember (I am 25 years old). My friend has said what has happened to him with his former employer, although I am sad and concerned my friend got ripped off, I can weight in on what had happened to him because I wasn't there and I don't have the other side of the story.

But I am weighing in on the alledged ex employee doing drugs in the work place. These accusations are totally untrue, I am good friends with the ex employee and as I said I have known him for a long time, my friend doesn't do any drugs nor has he had any interest in doing them. My friend was not fired from the Ebay store because of anything that was unethical and or drug related, my friend resigned from the Ebay store due to obtaining a job in the town where he is from to jump start his career. he later moved to Myrtle Beach because he got a job that would put him on the career path he wanted to take when he graduated from college.

I would also like to add, I do know my friend was working for the owner most on a voluntary basis and he looked at it as helping a friend, not working for the store. I want to tell anyone who is reading this why I am writing this oppinion, I am writing this because the ex employee has been a good friend to me and it is a shame when the owner makes false accusations about the ex employee. I know these accusation are not true and I want to share this with the world.

In closing, I found the owner's false accusation to be very childish and very unprofessional. I say this because any business and or business owner who recieves any sort of accusation doesn't respond by making false accusations about their ex employee. that business handles the accusation in a profession way by proving the accusation wrong and or by making it right. no ethical busienss and or business man would make false accusations about the employee and respond with negitivity. As stated, that kind of behavior is unethical business practices but also very unprofessional.

I found out about this report through a friend, so I decided to come onto Ripoff Report to check it out. I found the comments of the owner very untrue about the ex employee. I want to inform all of you I have not been asked to come here by the ex employee, as a matter of fact the ex employee doesn't even know I am writing this response right now.

I have know the ex employee since I was a child and I have known his family since I could remember (I am 25 years old). My friend has said what has happened to him with his former employer, although I am sad and concerned my friend got ripped off, I can weight in on what had happened to him because I wasn't there and I don't have the other side of the story.

But I am weighing in on the alledged ex employee doing drugs in the work place. These accusations are totally untrue, I am good friends with the ex employee and as I said I have known him for a long time, my friend doesn't do any drugs nor has he had any interest in doing them. My friend was not fired from the Ebay store because of anything that was unethical and or drug related, my friend resigned from the Ebay store due to obtaining a job in the town where he is from to jump start his career. he later moved to Myrtle Beach because he got a job that would put him on the career path he wanted to take when he graduated from college.

I would also like to add, I do know my friend was working for the owner most on a voluntary basis and he looked at it as helping a friend, not working for the store. I want to tell anyone who is reading this why I am writing this oppinion, I am writing this because the ex employee has been a good friend to me and it is a shame when the owner makes false accusations about the ex employee. I know these accusation are not true and I want to share this with the world.

In closing, I found the owner's false accusation to be very childish and very unprofessional. Thank you Mr Spencer for acknowledging that I was an employee for investigative purposes. Since you didn't pay your "employee's" I thought your former crew of friends that helped out at the eBay store where just volunteers. And when I went to pursue my career path at another location and stopped volunteering at your store you my friend turned into the ex angry employer. Make note that I have never used illegal drugs on the job or as a volunteer at any work place that I have been involved with. I hope that I do attract your full force of attention in which it will always end well for me. Good luck at your new home in Carmel, IN. I have some used furniture in storage that I would like to send to you.

This is nothing but a complete and utterly silly pack of lies filed by an angry ex employee that refused to quit using drugs on the job and now resides in Myrtle Beach. If this ex-employee is not careful he will attract the full force of my attention, which would not end well for him.
