The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Jason Spencer during an onsite inspection held by a third-party verification company with no biases towards Student Loan Relief.
Student Loan Relief is a company that assists people with the complicated ordeal of getting student loan forgiveness or significant payment reduction. Jason M. Spencer stated the following about his company, "It’s not necessarily the idea of getting them to go away or anything like that...it is making it more comfortable utilizing the programs that they could qualify for but don’t know about and will probably never know about. Because none of the companies involved or US Governments who create them, lets anyone know."
Leads for Student Loan Relief are obtained via word of mouth. They've never done any marketing. Mr. Spencer went on to express the sales process for individuals interested in their services, "we either call them or they call us. Then you get to know them a bit, ask them a series of questions that would get them qualified that we get them into certain programs and interview them. The person interviewing them would pass that information to researchers and they would decide which programs to get them into. The customer would get a proposal showing this is where you are - this is what we can offer you, do you want to work with us? If they wanted to move forward they could sign on the dotted line. It is an agreement, it puts everything on paper, and explains that we aren’t making any promises and you don’t pay us until we get that done."
CUSTOMER CARE & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION – STUDENT LOAN RELIEF
During the on-site interview, Mr. Spencer was asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. Mr. Spencer expressed that they rarely receive complaints due to their willingness to go above and beyond for their clients. He went on to describe a situation where they took on a client who was already in default. They were able to lower her payments to a manageable fee and ensure that if she made 11 consecutive payments the defaulted loan would be removed from her credit report. Since they had never taken on a client already in default they had they had some hiccups along the way, but were ultimately able to assist their client, "maybe we weren't flawlessly perfect, but it was a trail, we did another one, but it was a trial run for someone who was in default."
When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Spencer expressed that the complaints were made by an ex-employee, "The ex-employee lied about all his competencies and credentials and he was actually working for a competitor. This is all verifiable, I think I uploaded his actual resume that he has on Indeed.com onto Ripoff Report. But, he was actually a plant, working for the competitor." This ex-employee was under the impression that he had a contract with Student Loan Relief that would guarantee him a position. However, when the ex-employee presented what he considered to be a contract the first line stated: "This agreement can be canceled by either party any time for any reason." Which essentially negates the ex-employee’s argument.
When asked what type of changes they have made to honor their commitment to making things right with the consumer per the request of Ripoff Report, Mr. Spencer expressed that since the comments were made by an employee their company now documents everything. He additionally stated, "one thing I am sure to make clear to everyone is that you are not an NFL or NBA player - this is not a contract. I just make sure that people know that if you don’t show up to work - there is no guaranteed pay. We also do a lot more verifying of resumes instead of just trusting them."

Ripoff Report would like to let readers know that Ripoff Report emailed this customer so the member business could make things right with them. STATEMENT FROM STUDENT LOAN RELIEF:
The report is false. The ex-employee that made the report also posted his employment agreement which states that he can be let go at any time for any reason. He feels like he should have gotten a guaranteed salary and benefits regardless of his performance, attendance or treatment of his fellow employees. Which is not true per the agreement he posted but clearly never read. Moving forward we go over the employment agreement with each new hire and have them sign that they understand they employment and salary are not guaranteed for any amount of time.

I believe that my peers and I have truly been taken advantage of, mislead and abused in numerous ways by the CEO of the entity "Jason M. Spencer" not only does he have a terrible history and a bad reputation, but has also failed to meet employee employer agreements with more than a few fronts, including but not limited to, compensation, employee employer agreements and benefits packages, failure to provide payroll schedules, hours, or even proof of income (such as when an employee needs to purchase or lease). I have all of our written correspondence since almost day 1, and more than a few statements and testimonials from other employees. As the Chief Marketing Officer of the entity, Jason has made me very generous offers and agreements, both verbally and in writing, which he has failed and blatantly refused to meet. Furthermore, Jason humiliated me and other colleagues in front of our peers, and on an anger tantrum with a former employee (who was just asking for her rightful pay check) he threw a chair, and stormed out saying "stop talking like you're going to sue". This man has hurt many former and present employees, including myself and he needs to be brought to justice, because the extent of the damage that he has inflicted, reaches beyond employees to clients. Where on several counts Jason KNOWINGLY input false information on Federal Student Aid Program applications to decrease income driven payment amounts for clients, by providing a higher family size figure. Please contact me as soon as possible, as this transition and job loss have left me almost crippled financially. I wish I had more free time while job searching and trying to stay afloat, to include more details, but I'm delighted to provide more intricate details with the right representation, in a court setting.
