The piercing in my upper-ear cartilage closed, so I went to Sally Beauty Supply in Fairview Park, Ohio to buy an inexpensive, easy-to-use and reliable do-it-yourself piercing device that I had used successfully in the past. While I was there, I bought a pack of gold-tone breakaway hoops. They're the perfect gauge, easy to close, plain and they're only $2.99 plus tax for a four-pack. I like to have everything in multiple colors so I can always accessorize properly. (What?!) Since a nonfeminine, nonfussy hoop is so hard to find, I asked the Sally Beauty clerk if they got these hoops in silver, or if they could order them for me. She said they were unavailable in silver at Sally Beauty. (My beef isn't with Sally Beauty, by the way, since they didn't do anything wrong.)
I contacted Sudex and, after waiting a reasonable amount of time, followed up. I got a fawning, bogus apology from Terry Katz, who claimed to be the Director of Sales and Marketing. She referred me to Ed Oberg who, I guess, is a trainer in Sales. I called Ed as Terry directed. All I wanted was a referral to another store in the area where I could BUY the hoops in silver. Instead, Ed voluntarily offered to send me a free pack of silver hoops. Of course, I accepted. That was on August 20. When I still didn't have them on august 31, I followed up and got a scathing and demeaning e'mail from Ed (attached). As of September 13, I still don't have the hoops and had to suffer temperamental verbal abuse on top of it. I copied Terry on my response to Ed, and I haven't heard anything since.

I know- He is very generous like that. Our goal/his goal is to make our customers happy in the end, that isnt really too difficult to do when you really get down to it
