Let me begin by saying StudioPros is capable of providing an excellent product. My first experience with the company was top-notch; I received a great recording in a timely fashion and the process was smooth and professional. This is why I was so surprised that my second experience with StudioPros was so difficult, frustrating and unprofessional. Here is a brief recount of the service in guestion.

Because the first vocalist (Stevie) had done such a wonderful job on my first song, "I Can't Be Your Fool Anymore," I thought it would be great to have her provide vocals for a second song, "Magic Christmas Sleigh Ride."  When Stevie informed us that she wasn't comfortable in the key of E (the key in which the song was written and recorded), I was asked to provide another backing if a different key. Because the song incorpates a muscial sample, we discovered that changing the key didn't work well with the sample. At this point I felt it was best to move on to another vocalist. When I expressed my concern to the producer I was told that suddenly Stevie was able to sing in the key E and he assured me that everything would be fine. The preview I received was unacceptable - the vocalist struggled with the key, sang the wrong melody in places and sounded like she had a head cold.

Honestly, I was shocked that this vocal was passed along to me for review. I decided (wrongly, in retrospect) that it would be best for my relationship with the company to write-off the fee for the track and simply move on to a different vocalist. Thinking that it could have been my fault for choosing the wrong vocalist I asked the producer for his recommendation and he suggested Filip. I paid an additional fee and the recording was scheduled.

Several days later a track was forwarded for my review. I clicked on "Play" with a lot of excitement and expectation. Unfortunately this track was even worse - vocal started late, improvised melody in places, sang wrong lyrics in other places - either he didn't follow directions or wasn't given the right directions. The most frustrating part was that the producer gave Filip the the wrong backup track (one that still had my voice on it) so there were places on the track that had both my vocals and Filip's. Frankly it was astonishing that a track in that kind of condition was passed along to me for review. Didn't anyone listen to this track before it was sent to me???

At this point I no longer had the confidence that I could get what I needed from StudioPros and I asked the producer to provide a refund for the two tracks I had received. If he was unable authorize a refund, I asked him to please put me in touch with someone who could.

Several days later I received an email telling me that Filip had completed another track for my review (no mention was made of my refund request). In reponse, I reminded the producer that I had not authorized another track and would he please put me in contact with someone I could speak to regarding a refund.

Several days later I received another email from the producer telling me that the track had been "automatically approved" because I had not responded. Once again, my request for a refund was ignored.

Finally, I filled out the email form on the StudioPros website asking to be put in touch with someone who could help work these things out. Unfortunately, I have received no response.

I am seeking a refund for the poor quality tracks I have received from StudioPros. Sadly, my attempts to work this out with the company have fallen on deaf ears. I am reluctantly taking this step in the hopes that this situation will finally move towards an equitable resolution.
