There is absolutely nothing good to say about Suddenly Slender. It is a horrible to company to work with. Other than selling licenses, it's second business is suing its own licensees once they wake up to see what's really going on. The corporation is filled with lies and does not care about the people it should be supporting. The failure rate of licensees is 95% and they will simply resell the territory over and over again. You are set up to fail.

Several months ago, a group of 100 or so licensees banded together to form an advertising co-op, with the blessing of Suddenly Slender. Why not? We were paying a publicist to get them on shows like Tyra, Ellen, Rachael Ray so they could sell more licenses. Now that these licensees were in communication with one another and sharing their experiences, we had a voice. And there was NOTHING good anyone was saying about Suddenly Slender or Victoria Morton. This scared Suddenly Slender and they have done everything in their power to shut the co-op down. They even sued the two people who formed the co-op, who got them all the advertising, who grew their business. They did all of this to shut us up.

Many licensees have filed bankruptcy, foreclosure of their homes, lost their life savings, etc. Suddenly Slender does not care. They have ruined so many lives!

Within the last few months, the FDA reports have come to light. Some of the smarter licensees have demanded proof from Suddenly Slender that they have done something about it but there has been NO response other than a silly email saying, "don't worry, we took care of it!" We are demanding something in writing, either from the FDA or an independent lab... not a lab with the same address at Suddenly Slender. What kind bull is that?!

Licensees are put in a tough situation right now deciding on how to move forward. Everyone that got into this business wanted to help people lose weight, feel better and get healthier. I love my clients and would never want to harm them so I just want my questions answered.

We're all trying to figure it out but we don't want others to fall into this trap. Before you buy a business, research it all. Google the company and find websites like this. Google the owners and see what comes up. I was a total sucker and just listened to the sales team. My excitement got the best of me and now I'm paying for it. If the company's own licensees are trying to get out, don't do it!!!

If you don't pay attention, you'll pay with pain.

And now they are FRANCHISING! Oh my gosh. Anyone that buys a franchise is a bigger dufus than a licensee. They are selling you nothing more than what we got but now you have to pay 7% royalties off the top. There wasn't a profit margin to begin with and now you have to pay them for nothing. 2% of those royalties go to an advertising fund... to get you on the national enquirer. Don't be fooled. The good, credible PR came from one of the licensees they are suing! That's all going to end once the arbitration is complete.

The Bottom Line

AUTHOR: Older And Wiser - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 06, 2009

I am just one of the hundreds of former Suddenly Slender Licensees that finally decided to give up the struggle and closed my doors last year. Possibly out of nothing more than just morbid curiosity, I have kept an eye on Suddenly Slender, Victoria Morton and the other Licensees and Franchisees.

I don't know what the current total is for active Licensees/Franchisees, but I do know the numbers are dwindling rapidly. Two more shops closed last month (that I know of) and I just heard that another will be closing this month. One Licensee I know went to the trouble of gathering all the email addresses off of the Suddenly Slender Shop Locator list recently to send out a blanket email. Most of them bounced back as non-existant email addresses. Meaning....the address and the business are no longer valid. One might wonder why Ms. Morton insists on keeping these failed businesses listed on her site. A sales tactic to suck in more innocent victims?

Although I have my doubts about who has actually been writing the positive and glowing rebuttals about Victoria Morton and Suddenly Slender, they are all quite entertaining. One constant that I see is how the blame for failure is always placed on the shoulders of the Licensee/Franchisee. Repeatedly, they are blamed for not knowing how to run a business, not advertising properly, mismanagement, lack of operating funds, not putting enough effort into the business, not being intelligent enough to run a business. Of course, some may have gone under for these reasons. I won't dispute that.

What I find quite interesting is the fact that Ms. Morton herself is in the process of filing bankruptcy. This news was revealed to me just a few days ago. Ms. Morton was supposed to make an appearance in court recently to address issues related to one of the numerous law suits filed against her. Instead, she sent one of her representatives to face the music and do her dirty work.

This was supposed to be a meeting to determine the specific payment arrangement for this particular lawsuit, but her representative offered a miniscule fraction of the judgement amount as a "take it or leave it" offer. Ms. Morton's representative informed the plaintiff that this pittance was the best Ms. Morton could offer as she was in the process of filing for bankruptcy.

This makes sense when combined with an email Ms. Morton sent out a couple of weeks ago to all of the Franchisees and Licensees. In this email, Ms. Morton sympathized with everyone that was struggling to survive in business. She even pointed out that she was struggling as well. In an attempt to maintain her own business, she had laid off many of her employees to cut payroll expenses, they have relocated to a smaller and cheaper office, they even gave up their expensive phone service! Oh, and she lowered prices in her own shop to try and keep the customers coming in.

So......was it mismanagement, lack of enthusiasm and intelligence, poor advertising, or a combination of all of the above that caused the downfall? The truth may never be known.

Another Licensee and I speculated on this situation earlier today. Is Ms. Morton truly filing for bankruptcy....or was that a lie to avoid paying the judgement in that one lawsuit? Is the bankruptcy a way to avoid the pending 10 million dollar lawsuit that has yet to be heard in court? Does the bankruptcy mean that Ms. Morton is out of business.....along with all of the remaining Licensees and Franchisees? Is this just a way for Ms. Morton to shut down the Suddenly Slender name (business) and reorganize using a new name as she has done in the past? If so....what good is a franchise? What happens to the millions of dollars spent on Licenses and Franchises......that are now not worth the paper they were written on? So many unanswered questions, but I have to admit to having a renewed faith in Divine Justice.

Suddenly Slender does have a great product that works regardless

AUTHOR: Nerdherd - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, September 01, 2008

I've been doing the Suddenly Slender wraps for over 6 years and found in the body wrap and spa business it actually is doing something. Yes you can get another type of body wrap that feels good for the day in which everybody is offering at every spa corner and you get someone to give you a shower to wash it off. However with the mineral Suddenly Slender wrap there is nothing to wash off, it's natural, safe and you can physically feel the difference. There is no bacteria in the solution, powder or prodcuts...that was proven by the FDA. The franchise Suddndly Slimmer is different and most of those people in that co-op group are NOT following Victoria Morton's Suddenly Slender and I've always refused to get into that little gossip girl click. THe person that started that up was just looking for another way to benefit off others. Yes they Suddenly Slender's head office have been unprofessional in the past but all the Suddenly Slimmer people in LA have been fired and anyone affiliated with them still at the Suddenly SLender head office in Clearwater have been let go now that things are going franchise. As with anything topical you are NOT going to get surgical results but it does work, I have seen it, felt it and know it. There is no magic cloth that you wear and come out looking like what ever fantasy to dream to look like, no miracles just a jump start. Running a luxury type business in these times is hard and yes it's a pity more people haven't heard of Suddenly Slender so we all have to spend more ad $ but I must say it works and all the nay sayers that there always will be those type of people out there it is an undeniablely great products.

Don't Sign a contract you intend to Break!

AUTHOR: Business Girl 26 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 24, 2008

I noticed a lot of people that are slandering Suddenly Slenders name keep mentioning that the company sues it's own Licensee's. First off that is very doubtful and secondly, if any one is or has been sued it's probably for a breach on a contract. That is when you sign something and say that you will do it and then do not follow through.

Many people who have licenses or Franchises through this company are doing extremely well and LOVE what they are doing. They also have a positive additude on things and are not so negative sp I don't know why everyone keeps saying the failure rate is 80% or 95% or whichever number you have all chosen. Everyone has an excuse as to why there business fails and it is apparent that you would all rather blame someone else rather then blame yourself.

I suggest that if you do not have the facts that you do not slander a company. To add to that, if a company is so horrible why are they promoted world wide on so many popular television shows? You think that hollywood and there people would advertise a scam on national television? You have to do better then that it's not a commercial.
