Sundance Vacation paints the dream for the hard working middle class to go on vacations at an affordable cost, but do not fall for it! This vacation ends up costing double to triple the cost of retail.  Get a rental property for a week for only $500 a week!  Wow! We could really afford that after an hour of negotiation and the original price keeps going down.  Then the contract is drafted up and put in front of your face, but there are some additional fees we must tell you about.  Everytime you book a vacation, you will pay an additional $99 processing fee.  If you want/need more than one bedroom, it's another $210 per week for each additional room.  Oh yes, and if you book a property during prime season, another $210 a week.  They fail to mention that a majority of the properties are prime season all year round.  Try to book a property through the website and the places you want to go always have two bedrooms or more becuase that is all that's availabe.  You are forced into paying more almost always.  But the "great" thing about the package is they have the excess inventory list and hot list where you would not have to tap into your paid vacation weeks and just pay the $199 to book from properties on the excess list or $300 for properties on the hot list.  Really?  That's it?

So on top of the $12k I've already shelled out, I can pay more to them not to tap into my vacation weeks.  Well why would I tap into my vacation week that will end up costing upwards of $1200 total when I can just pay another $199 as long as I stick to Sundance's list of what's cheap for them.  Oh by the way, there is an annual fee of $359 that they continue to charge you until you use up all of your vacation weeks.  Great scam they have going because we pay the $12k upfront and think you are getting a huge savings but you will end up paying more than double retail when you break it out on a per vacation basis when you add in all the fees that are basically forced upon you.  They state in the contract that it cannot be cancelled because if they gave people time to think about it, they would be out of business because everyone would cancel when they get home and find out the truth about them.

So after about a month of contact with Sundance and speaking to numerous people, leaving several voicemails, they offered to cancel our contract but only refund us half the money stating that the vacation service was available for us to use.  Yes, it was available but we had to pay much more for it and that is not what we signed up for.  We signed up for "discounted" vacation packages and they are no way discounted.  Then they want to say that this is an investment and that the prices of vacations go up every year so in the long run, we would benefit from it.  I did not purchase an investment.  I purchased what I thought were discounted vacations, but are not at all.  They will tell you whatever you want to hear and mislead you just to get you to sign their contract and make many people feel trapped.  I'm not the only one out there that have been scammed by this company.  Their degrading offer to refund us half our money but give us nothing in return is their whole scheme all along.  That's all they are after.  Take your money with no real intent on giving you the dream that they painted for you that day you walked into their office to claim a free cruise or vacation or whatever promotion they are giving away to lure you into their trap.
