Sunmount DDSO ripoff. Staff abused verbaly & physically. Sunmount scared Feds will pull funding neglected Direct Care Staff. Union NO help. Tom, Please don't leave us!Tupper Lake New York

It's gotten bad! Really bad! Sunmount has always been a place that people are a little ashamed of. When administration tells new hirers not to follow the lead of seasond staff because they are doing it all wrong, then things need to change.

CMS. says we are a ICF. when we should be Secure Care, our hands get tied. Staff are being abused both verbaly and physically. Staff are turning on staff, Consumers are threatening and asulting staff and admin is not helping us.

If we try to address inapropriate behavoir, we are told what we say and do is wrong. Sunmount has NO rules to govern staff or consumers.

Sunmount is so scared that the Feds will pull the funding that they have neglected Direct Care Staff. Not one of us cares anymore. It has become a place that we go to collect a pay check. Many of us are trying to leave, but jobs are hard to find.

As for our union... We get no help from them. They all know that when they are voted out that they will be coming back to work, so they don't want to make waves.

A co-worker almost quit yesterday. This person is one of the good ones. He does his job well and is always there to help. He always has a smile or a joke to help lighten up a depressing situation. He quit because of other staff spreading rumors about the way he does his job. I for one will tell you that house 12 will not run as smooth or be as safe. This is a plea...
