I went through a horrible experience with this resort, and I'm out of three thousand dollars right now BUT I'm in a process to cancel my timeshare.

Sunset Group has a bad reputation in the timeshare industry. There are lots of complaints about this timeshare developer. I recommend you to visit http://www.timesharescam.com/blog/, there is good information about these fraudulent companies.

what ever you wanna think! I have not recieved a refund nor have they contacted me with in the last 3 years and probably 20 calls-30 e-mails.! they suck and are indeed rip offs! there wouldnt even be this forum and all these replys if it were not true! there is your proof! do you see as many and alot of other places on the net that have this one complaint in common???? Well there you go! so understand that these idiots are in deed scammers and crooks and low lifes and basic SCUM!!! I am going to collect my rightful money within several years and have already done my research--I will be personally taking care of business on my own, and there are two uppers who will never know what happened!  L.O.L. I am done trying to simply get my money back the legal normal way.If they indeed read this stuff, perhaps they will heed my words.

These over aggressive and complete over bearing idiots down in Mexico have no intentions of offering what they advertise. The brochures they send are fictitious.In fact some of the places do not exist.They will not refund any money or return any calls. If you offer any money or credit card numbers be for warned. I couldn't even get a return from visa. The Mexican government will not help either! It is run by the mafia. So if you want to spend your money elsewhere my advice is to do it, lets put these crooked morons out of business.I am a victim, and one day when I make it down there I will collect one way or another and play the same game they did with me as everyone else.

That is all well and good, and your claims certainly have an underlying plausability - at least as far as the time-share selling thing goes. However, when it comes to the organized crime details, it begins to smack of conspiracy theory and when you start talking stuff about the 'Satanic beast' and terrorism and all this sort of thing, it really begins to sound somewhat like you may be just a little bit unbalanced. And you have provided NO evidence to back up your claims, and this has not escaped me.

I actually purchased a similar package, also from Sunset Hotels, but I am unable to go, and am in the process of attempting to sell the package. Your claims concern me, but I also don't see that you've provided any information to back them up. If you have some, I would be grateful to hear about it.

I only have one thought as I read your "Ripoff Report".

Wow.

Saying things like the quote below prove that this report isn't based on anything substantial, but instead is a way for you to vent your conspiracy theories. In all seriousness, why would you say something like:

Comparing a honest, helpful timeshare / yacht club company to biblical references of satanic beasts and terrorists doesn't really fall in line with the purpose of this website... which is to provide a way for people who have actually been ripped off to tell others about it.

Sir, I cannot beleive that you would compare the death of thousands of fellow americans to a time share presentation. I personally find that very disrespectful. Please think twice before you make these types of comparisons.

I've been working for the sunset tele marketing division for almost a year.
I don't know were you got your info but i've never heard so much BS.

1st nobody gets put up in the time share resorts Sunset owns 6 resorts 4 time share and 2 normal resorts the time share resorts are listed on rci.com 2 in cancun and 2 south of cancun the two resorts that the people who buy the package stay at are the Ocean Hotel and the Laguna Suitess Golf and Spa and they have nothing to do with the time share division you are right that time share with sunset is a Joke Because the 3 of the 4 resorts are 90%-100% booked all the time the 4th resort Tres Rios just finishing complition and will open with 360 rooms this summer and will be done in 2010 with 1,700 rooms when that happens it should ease the bookings at the other resorts there was going to be a 7th time share resort built but hurrican Wilma destroyed the property. And whats with all that other nutty stuff did you get droped on your head when you were a baby ???

When we sell this Vacation package the consumers know what they are getting and we make sure of it. They are told up front that the reson they are getting this is for a time share presentation and before the buy the package they know all of their responsibilities so put some facts up or shut the F*** up
