Sunshine Subscription Agency door to door magazine subscriptions Coral Springs Florida

Hi! I was approached by two young girls named Ashley and Katie(they looked high school age) this past Saturday about helping improve their communication abilities. They said that they had to practice on customers by selling magazine subscriptions door to door and make sure that they spoke well and made eye contact. If they collected enough "points", they could win a trip to the Bahamas, Bermuda or Cancun.

I decided to humor them and let them practice and before I knew it, I was talked into buying subscriptions to two magazines (one was $34 and the other $30, but each had a $12 processing fee of $12 tacked onto them). I was a bit wary of them when they asked for cash, but I truly don't keep that amount around the house. So, I wrote them checks - one for each of the magazines, so that the girls could split the points.

Immediately after they left, I felt a little weird about this spiel, so I checked online for the company. The only thing that came up was this website! I felt REALLY sick at this point, knowing that I had probably been scammed, so I cancelled my checks (and contacted my credit union to disallow any money to be taken from either of these girls or the agency).

I was not allowed to call to cancel through the company until today (Monday), since they were closed all weekend, but I have to admit that was the most painless part. The woman who answered the phone was not at all rude - she just told me to either mail in the receipts (the envelope had to be postmarked by Wednesday) or fax them. I did both...I faxed them to the number she gave me and I have also mailed a copy of the receipts to the address listed on them.

I just find it revolting to read the other reports of people getting scammed out of the actual subscriptions. I am glad I was able to read other reports after I fell for this awful deal!
