Buyers beware!!! Superior Protection plan warranty is a total scam! Bought a truck from a small dealership( Stewart Wood's Auto Sales) in Pa. and also purchased a warranty through Superior because the salesman said they were a good warranty company. A year later, we find that the truck is in need of around $3,000 worth of repairs to the transmission and other things as well that the warranty "supposably" covers. We take it to the mechanic who went back and forth with this company for about a month(mind you, we were without this vehicle for a month) trying to get these things fixed and get the authorization to do the work. Superior tells us that the truck is only worth $3,000 (which is a crock because fai.r condition book value is $6,700) so the repairs cannot exceed that amount. Superior wanted us to pay for the transmission complete teardown so they could figure out  why exactly the transmission failed. Well, we would have been paying around $600+ out of our pocket for this. They said they would send a tech. out to look it all over and go from there about what to do. Well, we found this site luckily and some other info. about this company before we payed out any money, and seen all of the fraud alerts . Not to our surprise, there were quite a few stories very similar to ours. We found that they always say they will send a tech. out but they also always find a reason to deny the repairs to be done over some bogus reasons, leaving the vehicle owner with all of the repair amounts. This is what we decided to do; we contacted the dealership...no help there. Contacted Superior Protection Plan,....no help. Contacted the finance company,....no help there either. So, ultimately we decided, we'll just cancel our payment to them every month and changed our account info. with the bank so they didn't have access to a payment anymore, called them and told them that they could go pick the truck up from our mechanic (because we weren't paying a towing fee), reported them to the Attorney General's Office in NM as well as in our state of PA, talked to an attorney, and we plan to also "publicly" tell our story so this doesn't have to happen to anyone else. If you have been scammed by these people, don't be afraid to report them. We all work too hard for our money to let people like them just take it and scam us.( It cost us $2,800 to purchase the warranty that we lost) And certainly don't fall for their false directions that they tell you to do because you will be stuck footing the bill for 100% of it while they pay for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!! Read all of the other reports from others who have been scammed as well.
