Is this a legal way of collecting child support? My stupid ex-husband called a 1 800 number off of the TV while drinking late one night and decided this was a good way to get back at me after 20 years together and two kids. He was making a very good salary while I was struggling to get back to work. Support kids in turn sent a garnishment order signed by their CEO (No judge's signature) based on the original divorce decree (no court order) which reads "Presently, the Respondent is unemployed but historically has earned approximately $2,200.00". In the decree it descibes us as having two children being born within the marriage, this is what the child support obligation worksheet that they made up (for the wrong county) is going by. Well, my son is currently 22 years old and out on his own. Thus, I am being garnished for $456.00 per month based on 2 children and a base pay of $2200 per month income. I only earn $1900. Therfore, I am unable to provide for myself, my daughter, or grandchildren for that matter, on things that I would like to get for them. Out of the $456 he gets $270 that's how good supportkids are. They are collecting 60% of my garnishment for themselves, which is $186.00 per month going into their pockets where as, if it is "Child Support" why is it not going to the child. When I contacted them, I was told that they need a court order signed by a Judge in order to correct the information. I'm all for both parents providing for their children in the event of divorce and I know there are some deadbeat parents out there, but I am not one of them. I don't have the money to hire an attorney to fight them on this, so I guess I'm just stuck. Any suggestions? I have had to depend on family, friends, and co-workers just to survive.

This woman is Leos 4th wife and he has kids all over the US! Reccha did not file the report with support kids I did her oldest daughter Tina! He beat my mother for years and I say beat I mean beat like she was a man! I never seen Leo attempt to do one thing for us 4 kids and this was the only way I knew to get him to do the right thing for once in his life where we are concerned! Of course he lied his way out of that to and we seen nothing! He NEVER paid a dime in support for us children and he never came to see us! He did spend much of his life in jail and my mother supported us as she does today! She always ha been both our mother and father! The only time I ever heard from Leo Clairmont was when he needed me to make him a take high school diploma so he could get a job in Vermont! Reecha is not broke and never has been and the blame you have placed at her feet and your feeble attempt at ruining her reputation is futile! She raised her children and continues to do so! The sad thing about this is you don't even know her and have NEVER met her but you go out of your way to hurt her! When he beats you, leaves you and your kids like he has all the rest make sure you don't file for support for the kids he leaves you with Hellana! Remember your words to me why can't you kids leave things in the past? Gotta have a past to leave it in the past! I have cleared the truth about what has happened up and do hope you are mature enough to leave it here or it will get further in detail! Leave my Moms reputation alone!

My advise to you is file a complaint with the Texas Attorny General and with the AG in your state. I don't see how they can garnish your wages unless they have proof that you are in arrears. Did you sign anything with them? Also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for violating the Fair Debt Collections Act.
Supportkids has been harrassing my husband for TEN months now! His ex (Reecha Dixon of Carey, NC) is in dire financial trouble and she and her latest husband came up with this scam to try to get my husband to pay child support for thier 4 children that he does not owe. Long story, (you can find it on this site). IF Supportkids had a legal leg to stand on they would have done something other than harrass my husband by now.
