i signed up for this website thinking i'd actually get paid for taking the time to actually leave their ad rotator open and click on/view ads that they wished for me to view. i'd read about numerous other complaints, about how people had got to $25.00 and then their account had either been deleted, suspended, or that they had no longer been able to view/access the website at all.

i figured it was because they were in fact actually scamming surfjunky.com, especially when i reached the amount of $38.00+. i figured nothing was wrong, since i had done nothing wrong. no fraudulent use, no scamming, no multiple browser surfing, and no auto-refreshing (even though their ad-rotator was on a 30 second meta refresh, hence the claim that people are using auto-refresh methods is simply stupid).

i signed in earlier today (march 15, 2005 *payday*) to view my stats, and everything seemed fine. so i set it up to earn more money by viewing their ads. even in the past few weeks i'd been getting sporatic 404 messages, or the page no longer refreshed itself, which led me to close (not refresh) and re-open the ad-rotator window, and i would get messages that i had more than one browser open, and that i'd received a warning, which is complete nonsense.

but i continued to use it, thinking i'd get paid. when i got back home from taking my girlfriend to get some food, i tried to login and check my stats and set it up again for more use. i can no longer (not just login) view the website, it's a simple 404. no email explaining anything, no response even from the email i'd sent late last week asking why i kept getting the no-refresh pages and 404 messages.

it's quite obvious that this site is a scam, and legal action should (and i'm sure will) be taken against these persons (or person). it's one thing if i was actually in violation of their tos, but it's another to simply cut me out with no explanation whatsoever.

Surf Junky has been proven to be a complete scam

AUTHOR: Jonathan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 16, 2005

Surf Junky will never pay you, as it was never intended to pay you. The people who run it are intentionally trying to decieve all of us into making money for them. Every time you refresh their ads, they make money from advertisers.

You are not the only people Surf Junky is deceiving. Every advertiser who signed up to be a part of the Surf Junky program had no idea that Surf Junky encouraged users to refresh the ads--users could care less about the ads; Surf Junky users want money. So this creates an ideal market for Surf Junky, at least for a time. Users refresh ads, hoping to get money; advertisers pay surf junky per hit, hoping to attract people to their websites; and Surf Junky takes advantage of both parties.

Surf Junky has done this before
Autosurf.biz was Surf Junky's last attempts at this scam. They've sold the site to a new owner, abandoning all of their unhappy, unpaid users. The guy who bought the site from them was left in a sticky situation too.

Surf Junky knows that this website has far more users than Autosurf.biz ever did. How are they going to silence the decries of all the users it abandons? It's quite simple: they'll accuse you of using a "banned" program such as firefox or a script to automatically refresh the site for you. What doesn't make sense is that this is already exactly what Surf Junky's page already does. Refresh. Why can't firefox be used to do the exact same thing? Well, simple. They need an excuse to ban you. And everyone. And they will ban you all before you recieve one dime of your payment!

Additionally, Surf Junky claims that its server was under "attack". I think this is just another excuse. Wouldn't it be convenient for them to disappear claiming to have been hacked? Think about it.

Surf Junky is another Autosurf.biz all over again...

You will never get paid with them.
