Susan medlin is a fleet owner at Try Hours with multiple trucks. She does pay you weekly on time and accurately, however don't ever cross her or have an emergency. We worked here for 2 months. The first time we stayed out for 6 weeks without going home. It's not in the contract, but she allows you 200 miles to drive home empty. We got permission from her fleet manager to drive 400 miles. To Toledo to puck up our personal vehicle that was at a drop yard and then home to take time off. Took off 5 days, went back on the road. A week before thanksgiving only drove 200 miles to go home. Had to take a few extra days off but was told no problem.
Got a call for a family emergency that would not allow us to drive team any longer. An emergency involving children . Contract says give 15 days notice but nothing about her keeping your paycheck. Payday rolls around. She was informed of our emergency and decided to keep our 900 earned dollars and charge for the fuel both times we were still in her employ and drove home. Outrageous! Not in the Co tract at all. Then she charged us for truck recovery! I had informed her I would bring truck back about 4 days later when we got paid because I needed the money for gas. I didn't have it to spare. She decided on her own to have another couple working for her to drive from 160 miles away to pick it up and drive it to ohip. Her decision. She charged us for that!! Then she is offering a bonus to another driver to sign on and the couple took our truck and immediately started earning money in it. We were allowed the time off we took and couldn't help it we had and family emergency.
She is heartless.

This is an attempt to remove this rip off report. I am the original author and wish to delete this information. I am seeking a way to do this. This owner and I have made contact and made good on the situation. This report should not be used to judge the owner by any means. She is ammends good, reputable owner and always paid us on time. I misunderstood the contract and she did not take anything she wasn't entitled to. I am going to find out how to totally remove this.
