SW Engines major shipment delays, lies, lack of communication chicago Illinois
I ordered an engine for 2003 isuzu rodeo early december 2013. Upon arrival it was determined i had ordered wrong size and needed to be shipped back. Additionally, i was informed by mechanic of transmission damage which required a transmission to be ordered. I contacted sw engines, they calculated additional 1395 for new engine and shipping costs to return incorrect version and 695 for transmission.
I was sent an email from dale at sw engines on dec 27, 2013 with shipping label stating carrier would pick up old engine on dec 28, 2013. Carrier failed to pick up after a week. I called dale again at sw engines and he gave excuse that carrier had wrong address., which is doubtful considering the same carrier delivered it in the first place.
I informed dale that i had paid return shipping costs already and was on a deadline to get parts as my lease ended jan 31, 2014 and needed vehicle fixed prior to move in order to move and avoid being homeless on feb 1,2014. He stated he contacted carrier and the old engine would be picked up the next day- friday. The following tues i confirmed with mechanic that the engine had not been picked up. Dale refused to send new engine until confirmation of pickup of incorrect engine.
Dale informed me the carrier would pick up incorrect engine on jan 22,2014. I confirmed with mechanic after numerous calls that the engine waa picked up 5 days later on Jan 27,2014. Dale shipped the new engine on jan 27,2014 and issued a tracking number. The shipping company confirmed delivery on Jan 30,2014. I emailed dale asking why the delay of 5 additional days from promissed shipping day, and demanded to speak to a manager leaving my phone number in the body of the email. To date he has not responded. The shipping company today says they have no idea how to track whereabouts of my engine.

The mechanic now has no time to complete work on my car prior to move feb 1, which makes me homeless--- all of which could have been avoided had sw engines been diligent with shipping company and kept me informed. They had 30 days to fix the problem and massively failed with no flexibility in how they handle transactions and poor customer service skills.
