I received a most official looking sweepstakes offer including Dell, RCA, DVC products. These had credit vouchers for the products of $400 and you were to send in the remaining cost or even put them on a credit card with payment options.Photgraphs of all the products were included , quite an expensive rip off to print and mail.

I sent a check in full for $379.95. With Visa , Master Card logo's on the forms it sure looked like the real thing.

Still waiting for my Dell Lap top with software package.

Help!

My adress I have given is new, I have moved to a different state since the order. I was living in NC and will be happy to provide an attorney with more info.

Almost Victimized By Sweepstakes ClearingHouse for the Omni2 Digital Camera

AUTHOR: Corletha - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, June 03, 2007

My vouchers were for $300. According to the prize notification, the camera would cost $99.95 with the voucher. I saw no problem with it since I researched the camera and found it to cost within that range, along with the software being sent. Sweepstakes Clearinghouse had no problem cashing my check immediately. After 14 days went by and no camera, no correspondence, etc, I called them (214)915-7100. I was told the camera was out of stock. I asked when was someone going to provide that information to me. He was silent. After putting me on hold for at least 5 minutes, he came back and told me the camera would be in stock the following week (Monday), and I should received it by Friday.

Well, that Friday came and went. I called back (now we're two Mondays later after I spoke with the first person), and the young lady that I spoke with ask me why was I calling back when it was noted on my account that I was told the camera was out of stock. I explained to her what the gentleman had said, and she said, 'oh. Let me check that information.' She then came back and told me they did not know when it would be in stock, however she would find out and call me back. I never got that call. In the meantime, I was also emailing them because I was never able to check the status of my 'account' on line. I always received an error message indicating 'account not found.' I forgot to mention the gentleman told me once the camera was delivered there would be a $23.90 charge for shipping!

I told him that they are out of their minds. I saved every piece of those papers, and there was nothing there that stated I had to pay anything else.

In my emails I nicely explained to this company that I was contacting my local authorities if I did not receive my camera within one week from the date of that last email. I received my camera within 5 days, but I will NEVER 'order' anything else from them, and I advise the next person to shred those prize vouchers that come in the mail.
