Sweepstakes Clearinghouse lied and ripped of money from my defenseless mother. Rip-off! Dallas Texas

Out of no where this letter came telling my mother she had won some money that could trade in for an item and then pay off the difference. she had a choice of a tv, watch, coputer, laptop, and intertainment system. she chose the computer and she had to pay a difference of approximately $300.00 with a $10 downpayment. She sent the downpayment money.

Then like a month later another letter came saying that if she sent $47.96 she would recieve a telivision set. She assumed that it was regarding the computer and that they made a mistake on what she ordered. She was going to send the money but didn't out of suspision. Yet another letter came similar to the last one but it said that she was selected from the city of lawrence to recieve an award of $534,250.00 cash or prize. this one also said to return the notice along with $5.00 by 10/20/04 to claim the award. this is when she asked me to investigate.

I looked it up on google and luckily found similar cases on this website. If it weren't for the website my mom would have paid the $300.00 and the $5.00 making it a total of $315.00 that these lowlifes would have stolen from her. We already have no money but for these people to get her hopes up like that is just so wrong. She aunestly believed that god had answered her prayers. Please help the authorities catch these b@#$^^*(. Don't let them do it to anyone else.
