Sweetshop Vidor Uncooked CAke.... Nothing done about it. Vdior, Texas

My Son and his girlfriend brought a cake for their 2 year daugthers Birthday Party from the Sweetshop in Vidor Texas. They paid 90 dollars in advance for this cake. Not only was it not what she wanted it to look like ( she gave them pictures) and they assured her they could make them. The cake was also not cooked all the way. It was wet and sticky on the inside. The smaller cake for the Birthday girl was done but the large on for the guest wasn't. IT was not served due to them being worried about making someone sick due to eggs being in it. They went out and had to buy another one for 50 dollars so that the guest would have cake.

The shop was called by her Sister to tell them the cake was not what they ordered and was not large enough to serve the amount of people they said it would , they cussed her and hung up on her. We did not know at this time that the cake was not done. Since this was Thanksgiving weekend we had to wait until Tuesday to take the cake in. When they took the cake into the shop she told them that once the cake leaves the shop there is nothing they can or will do. When ask how they were  suppose to know the cake wasnt done by looking at it, the shop theatened to call the police on them.

These kids are 19, she goes to college and he works to support them, they were not able to go out and spend 50 dollars on a cake when they had already spent 90 on one. ( That they couldn't use.) I can understand the part about the cake not looking like they wanted but to not honor you product when it is not done and unsafe to serve is another. Makes me wonder what kind of bussiness they are running.

I feel they did this to them because they are kids but if they will do that to kids then is this really someone we want to do bussiness with. I know alot of people in our town like these people and their shop but I am not sure how many of them know how they treat people they dont know. I just felt it was something I had to speak out on.
