Do not book at this hotel unless you are a psychic or not human.
If you should have a medical emergency & need to cancel, you will not get a refund, no matter how much notice you give. Since you aren't coming, they keep your money & charge the full amount, plus taxes, "resort" fees, "tourist" fees, etc. to your card, then they double book the room & rent it to someone else.
Ask to speak to a manager & you get the same person you had to book it through. You can't book it on Expedia, hotels.com or booking.com, etc. if you are going to an International Living "seminar". ONLY through the 1 person assigned to "group" bookings who will conveniently be "off" & not read your email or not there to take your $6.00 a minute phone call, until she decides your cancellation of 1 week in advance was not enough.
Having looked online, there are many places equally nice in Quito for less money. Avoid this hotel like the plague unless you have lots of money to throw away.
