Syn Inc. ordered rolling stone 3 months ago and still haven't recieved it. The check was never endorsed when sent to my bank, but my bank cashed it anyway. Internet, Colorado

It occurs to me that it might be the "very nice young man" who was deceptive.  This is not uncommon and I was duped some years ago in a similar way.

You say your bank cashed a check that was not endorsed?  Sounds very fishy, but not something a legitimate business/magazine would be involved in.  Who did you make the check payable to?  If it was the business, then you should be covered.  I suggest you make a call to the publication and verify how they sell their magazine and how payments are processed.

It just seems to me that it's more likely that the door to door guy scammed you.  You might want to check with your neighbors to see if they bought anything from him and compare notes.
