I bought T-Mobile pay as you go number in November 2008.

I was just calling to get more info, but sales agent told me that she will credit my new account with $25 of talking minutes if I buy right now. I agreed and when she was finished and started to read the final terms she failed to mention $25, so I told her about it. She asked for a minute and when she came back she told me that her supervisor told her that the deal has expired couple of hours before. I said then I don't want it, so she spend few more minutes allegedly clarifying and then she said that I will get $25 credit.

I agreed and requested also to send me an email regarding this. Needless to say I never received the email.

I spent hours on the phone over next week trying to get the minutes, with no luck.

To make matters worse, the phone stopped working and when I called they said that they received a call on December 1, 2008 requesting transfer of the balance and number to another sim, which they did.

Whoever did make the request spent the whole balance of almost $100 in one call of 18 hours which also shows the fraudulence of it.

I have no clue how somebody could manage to do this which means to me that T-Mobile might have some leaks and/or connections to such frauds.

They refused to let me know from what phone they received the transfer request or any other details.

They said I have to spend another $20 to get new sim as they won't reactivate the old one.

I was also shocked that they do not ask for any details over the phone to confirm except a made-up pin code of 4 digits. They must realise that 50% of the pin codes could be within most popular 20-30 numbers like 9999 or 7777, etc.

I did not receive any understanding or desire to help or desire to fix their security hole.

The supervisor I talked to was Jason A.

I am badly disappointed in T-Mobile and their crook practice in ripping off customers, cheating them and helping to violate their security.
