I ordered a $300.00 "4 in. Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper" for a King Bed through Target.com & opted for 2 day premium shipping because it was offered at checkout. The first problem came about when I did not get my package on time, then when I tried to contact them about it they would not respond until I notified them twice! Once they finally got back to me, they tried to say preparing the item took longer & the item was actually coming from another country.

So, I told them they needed to refund me the $30.00 extra I spent on 2 day shipping & also take that option off of the site for this item if they truly couldn't honor 2 day shipping because that is unfair to customers expecting their item to arrive soon. They got back to me another two days later (still no package) & said they could not refund my shipping & were trying to improve their site each day. Hahahaha You would think they would have refunded the money if they wanted to "improve" the site! So finally I received the package a week & 1/2 after I ordered it.

When the package arrived it was such a RIPOFF! This product was not made of gel & was not even memory foam! It was a large egg crate type regular foam topper with a paper thin sheet of blue (assuming this blue material was supposed to be their impression of "gel" memory foam) glued to one side! I was irrate to receive this after alll of the trouble I hadx already been through trying to get the product!

So, I went to an actual Target store to return it, because I didn't trust the site any longer & wasn't about to mail it back & wait months for them to screw me over again. When I got to Target, the manager of the store helped me & even she was shocled at what was sent to me. The manager then told me unfortunately Target only allows $70.00 cash to be returned to a customer per year & I would not be able to get but that amount, the rest of what I spent would be applied to a Target gift Card! Whoa.... What a shocker!

So then she had to call the target.com people because she told me they were really like a different store & lots of people complain about them. When she called to get the refund amount applied to my card, they told her they could not do it because I didn't have the actual card I used for the transaction! How much sense does that make!? I could have mailed it to them to get a total refund w/o mailing my card, but bringing the item into the store wouldn't get me the full refund w/o the card, even though they had the card info in the system!

After a very aggrivated conversation with them they decide to tell me they will email me a packing slip to print & mail it back to them & then they will refund the total amount back to the card. So I go home & 2 days later, still no email with a packing slip, still stuck with this foam, & still short $300.00! Ofcourse I have tried over & over to contact them & get this squared away, but no response!

Now I am going back to the Target store, swallowing my pride, returning this crappy item & allowing them to give me the full credit on a Target card. I am just sick & tired of being played with & after 30 days they wont do anything anyways! I just lost 300.00, well have to spend that much at Target, which is a store I never shop at due to prices!  :-(  :-/
