I purchased Tat B Gone in '03' because of thier claims to have a "Highly Effective" product and "96.7% rate of Satisfying Results". After the first order ran out, I called the company and who explained the product wasn't working because I had not used it long enough so I ordered another shipment. After that order ran out I called the company and spoke with Bob Bowley who suggested the product wasn't working because I wasn't putting it on thick enough and agreed to split the cost of my next shipment.

After that ran out in '05' with absolutely no results I called Bob back again and told him I would like my money back because I was mislead to think this product would work had I used more of it and for longer terms which I did. I spent a total of $538 for this scam product because of the company's misleading accusation of thier product and that is what I would like returned to me. That is alot of money to spend for nothing! Bob became very rude and actually hung up on me. I would not loke this company to get away with the way the treated me and I would like others to know about this ordeal so they don't get scammed either!

debra,
Don't belive the people who say there is nothing you can do about youre situation with tat b gone.If this company has become youre worst nightmare, you can become there's.Here's some extreme sugestion's.

1.Civil Court-As long as you did'nt sign a contract with this co. you can go to there state, and county and file a small claims or cival suite against the company.
2.You can contact the local authority's in state, and co. and make them aware of youre complaint.
3.You can go so far as to track this person down and knock on there door, and ask for youre money back.(I wouldnt take this one to far though)
4.You can write the co. and owner's local state representives and let them know what's going on and how you feel about it.
5.You can make youre own webpage and tell youre story in it and chances are it will start to pop up number 1 on search engines.

These are just a few extreme sugegestions. The best one might be to just give it up, and move on.But if youre looking for justice, and maybe youre money back.Belive it our not some of these sugegestions might work.As far as going to there town maybe you could make a vacation of it.It's hard to do alot with them out of state.

I read about a lady that got ripped off over the internet. It was just a 15 dollar lamp, but she did most of these things and made the guy's life a living hell.Plus got the state government to make laws protecting people agains the kind of fraud he was commiting.

I myself have been almost ripped off 5 times over the internet. All five times I tracked down the individuals that riped me off and told them if they did'nt imediatley get me my murchandise or fix the situation that I would go to there town and confront them, thye fixed the problem.
Also chances are this is not a really big co.,and it might not take much to scare them r shut them down.

I'll add 3 things to the other posts - Like any scam this company comes up with claims like that to sell the product and nothing to back it up.

AUTHOR: Jason - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 12, 2005

Here are my three comments:

1. The guy "Michael of Bountiful, Utah" is an idiot to think $500 is more than laser treatment (he was "sure" of it LOL.) One laser treatment will be more than the total amount you could spend on this (about $500 for a decent laser.) Most people get about 3-5 treatments!

2. The idea that ANYWHERE near 96.7% of customers get satisfying (or any) results from Tat B Gone is also sorely incorrect. Like any scam this company comes up with claims like that to sell the product and nothing to back it up. Try asking them for their published statistical methods. Try contacting the BBB (which, as a Consumer Science grad I think is a good organization). Try talking to other Tat B Gone users via Ebay or anyway you can find them. My estimate would be that 10% of customer - at the most - are happy with the product.

3. I've used this product and it certainly is a waste of money if you hope to get your tattoo more than lightened. If you have a small very light color tat thats the only way I'd really try this product. Partial fading is all any of mainstream removal methods can offer, but if you're going to have it done laser is far more effective. Chances are you'll either A. have no results or B. just make the tat really smeared and ugly with Tat B Gone.

You're wasting your time with the BBB. That's a scam too. You can read more about it here.

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 12, 2005

Debra, I can sympathize with your situation. You're out over $500 and nobody seems willing to help you.

Unfortunately, that's exactly why there's so much fraud.

Search here for the BBB. You'll find out that their goal is to sell their memberships to companies. They do not have any legal powers. They are a private for-profit company. They make their income by selling the memberships.

The scam is that consumers think the BBB membership means something. It leads consumers to think that a business is reputable. Not so. Anyone who pays the membership fee gets in. In fact, scams buy the membership to convince people that they are reliable.

So, by filing a complaint with them, you're just wasting your time.

There are federal organizations that do have investigation power and legal authority. Your complaint would be number 14,876,063. Maybe they'll get around to investigating it in the year 2036. Chances are nothing will be done unless they get thousands of complaints involving millions of dollars.

See why there's so much fraud?

At least when you post a complaint here, the world gets to read it. That should stop any new victims from buying. Of course, they must search the internet to find the complaint. Many victims see the item, and click on the buy button without checking anything.

I'll be honest with you. You probably stand a better chance of getting hit by a meteor than getting a refund. All your complaint will do is help others to avoid the scam.

I always tell people that the only way to keep from getting cheated is simply to avoid anything and everything that could be fraud.

That means stay out of ebay. Never buy anything off the internet. Never give out a bank account or credit card number. And, don't buy anything from someone who calls you on the phone.

I buy all my stuff from real stores in my area. I make sure I know what I'm buying before I pay my money. And, I only purchase from companies with legitimate return policies.

As you see, the internet is mostly scams and frauds.

I received an E-mail today (10/11/05) from the BBB in reguard to my filed compaint against Tat B Gone. They informed me that Tat B Gone is not replying to my complaint, so now what? What good is reporting a complaint when the company still doesn't care or respond, where does one go from here? How can company's just be allowed to get away with ripping-off people without any repocussions? Something has to be done! What's to stop the company from continuing to sell thier fraudulent product and ripping others off?
Beyond frustrated,

Tat B Gone

AUTHOR: Karlien - (Netherlands)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 27, 2005

I don't know how you fell into the small 3.3%, however i am a person that did make it into the larger side of the pool. After a year treatment I am happy to say that my tattoo has faded to the point that i no longer even think about it. I don't know why it worked for me and not you, but I'm completely thankful that it did and I was able to bypass the long and expensive laser treatments. Before I bought the product I did some pre-research and heard a lot of good reports on Tat B Gone. I have never run into a great report on laser as it seems between the pain and the money it is just not a recommendable solution. Again, I am happy to say my foolish youth move of an ex-boyfriends name has been removed from my arm and my memory without taking all my money.

Laser isn't a whole lot better and certainly not guaranteed

AUTHOR: Sidwell - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, September 26, 2005

Debra,

I have quite a few tattoos, some of which I am proud, but most of which I regret. Without any research or deliberation, I started laser treatments, a process that is exceedingly expensive and with results not much better then you've reported. There are still huge tracks of ink in the individual tattoos that the laser cannot seem to break down.
I was, of course, encouraged by the clinic to continue coming back for more treatments, but I'm also always made painfully (both figuratively and literally) aware there they will offer absolutely no guarantee. I am pretty much resided to the fact that this is all the results that I am going to get with laser, and though disappointed, I cannot say that I was not aware of the permanency of tattoos when I got them.
Still, it would be nice to get rid of just the more eccentric of my arm tattoos and I have begun looking into alternative methods to the lasers. I stumbled upon your message while doing so and two years is a long time and effort to be let down (especially when the product seems to be sold in monthly packages).
Even though, I think that I would still be interested in trying Tat b gone. I have taken time looking into the options a somewhat seriously, and though you are obviously upset, I have found this to be the most reputable company of its sort both online and amongst a few tattoo artists. I do take notice of your warning, and not to belittle your complaint, but $500 spent is really pennies on the dollar with laser, and the laser clinics won't give ANY money back. I wish you lots of luck.

Michael, what did you do to get rid of your tattoo? You know, the one above your a*s that said enter here for the ride of your life.

Lighten up there, huh?

Christ, the woman already lost over $500 on a fake product. Now, you want to make fun of her too?

People get tattoos for many reasons. It's the style today for many young people. You're living in the stone age yet if you think it's only bikers and military guys.

Maybe she had a flower on her ankle, and now she wears dresses to work. Perhaps she works in a business office, maybe as an attorney in a law firm.

Who knows what she has or why she got it?

The bottom line is, she wants it gone and this fake nonsense ain't doing it.

Thanks for letting others know, Debra. Your fraud report will cost these crooks money from now on. That's how this site works.

tat removal cream?

AUTHOR: Michael - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 07, 2005

The skin from the tattoo is permanently scared and no cream in the world is going to change that.
The only way to remove a tat is to have it done with a lazer in a removal clinic. And I am sure it is less that the 500 plus dollars you spent.
Why did you get the tattoo in the first place is you want it removed? Are you a biker chick that had her in prisoned boyfriend's name on your body? And now he has a new wife that he met in the shower?
I am confused.
