Fortunately, yet unfortunately, Robert only got away with $20,000 with us. My husband and I already had financing and didn't have to worry about dealing with an escrow company, which was obviously a blessing in disguised.
We are currently in the process of creating a lawsuit/case against Robert Hicks, Michael Todd, Eli, and Todd of Taurus Construction. Although the remodeling continued at our house by our subcontractor, who was GREAT by the way, Robert never communicated our request to the subcontractor and we didn't get what we originally agreed to in our contract.
Robert has been avoiding our calls, faxes, and letters. We kept a daily log of all activities during this project and he is aware of that.
Something really needs to be legally done about this because there is over $180,000 in theft at stake. This is a crime!
