I sent my firearm to Taurus for service. When they sent it back to me, Fedex lost it for a solid month or more. I spent untold amounts of time on numerous phone calls to at least seven different people at Taurus, including the customer service supervisor and the department manager.
NO ONE EVER followed up with phone calls or emails to me as they said they would, except one message that the customer service supervisor left in which he outright lied to me. In my many conversations with them they would always give me an optimistic sounding update, but after three weeks of calls to them they still have not returned my calls.
Fedex finally found the lost package and returned it to Taurus. But I've learned that, a full week after they received the package from Fedex and told me they would ship it right out to me, they still have not shipped it out and have not initiated any contact with me. Only by calling them and waiting on hold forever have I ever gotten any information.
I have been polite and patient in ALL my conversations with them, until after three weeks and numerous conversations I finally began to express frustration and loss of patience in my messages with the managers, who can never be reached live. This did not result in any returned calls. Then I upped the ante and said I would begin filing complaints and legal proceedings. Still no response.
Today I left messages with the managers informing them that I just filed complaints with the FTC and the Florida Attorney General's office and that I wasn't stopping there if they didn't respond. Still no response.
I have never experienced a complete absence of common courtesy and customer service from any company as I am experiencing with Taurus. It's totally baffling that they would invite rage and harsh criticism from someone who has paid so much money to them for their products.
Think twice before doing business with these slugs.
