Tax Masters Tax Masters promised to help me get out of trouble with the IRS. I paid them over $4000. They did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! THEY ARE A SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! Houston, Texas

My wife and I owed over $25,000 in back taxes plus penalties and interest because we withdrew money from our 401K. We also needed to file a couple years of tax returns. We knew we needed to hire someone to get us out of trouble with IRS but didnt know who to turn to. Since we see their commercial on TV all the time we hired Tax Masters and paid the $4000 retainer.

We were promised that they could get us a settlement with the IRS. We were promissed that they could settle our taxes debt for less than $3000. We were told not to worry and that they handled cases like ours all the time.

After they got our money, weeks went by and we heard nothing from Tax Masters. Everytime we called we got the run around. We were never able to speak with anyone other than a customer service rep. No attorney, no CPA, no IRS agent.

After about a month we got papers from the IRS saying they were going to garnish our paychecks! We called and wrote to Tax Masters but got no response. Once I Googled "Tax Masters, Fraud, Scam" I learned all about the scam they're running and all about the lawsuits. 

I knew I had been ripped off and that I needed to find somebody else to help. My wife found another company through a church friend and we hired The Equity Law Group to handle our tax mess. They got our wage garnishment cleared and charged less than Tax Masters. Stay away from Tax Masters and find a tax company with real tax people not just sales people!
