Taxmasters; TMIRS Enterprises; Patrick Cox; Aka Cox And Associates TaxMasters TaxMasters = FRAUD Internet

I contacted this company in August of 2009 to help resolve a wage garnishment at my wife's work.  We were promised that if we wired them $1,000.00 and scheduled monthly payments, they would get the garnishment stopped immediately.  Two weeks went by and nothing.  We called the IRS directly and they told us the only thing that TaxMasters did was to file the Power of Attorney forms.  I spoke with Rasheed El-Amin, our contact person, and he told me that TaxMasters was not going to do anything until the full amount of the contract was paid.  We sent them a cancellation letter and then they took the monthly payments out of our bank account for two more months.  We had to cancel our bank account to stop them from taking any more money.  We asked the bank to stop payment on the funds, which they did, but then reversed after they looked at the contact from TaxMasters.  So far we are out $2,260.00 and we keep getting threatening letters from their in-house attorney, Jeffrey Steinberg, demanding that we pay an additional $2,090.00.
