On Aug 6th, I emailed Taxmasters, after seeing their add on TV, they called me, I returned the call, they asked my situation, I explain I wanted to clear up taxed from 2002, had a stroke, and needed help with 2006 and 2007. They said they could help for 1650.00. They asked for my credit card number and I was willing to move forward once I read their contract and signed it, thus they emailed the contract to me, after deducting 500.00 from my CC as a deposit.

There were things I could not agree to in the contract, now was ready for, thus I emailed them the very next day of the problem. They assured me it was a standard contract, still, that does not mean I am willing to agree to it; it gave them permission to do a letter of compromise for me, and charge me more. I emailed them again the next day stating I could not agree to the contract or use thier services. Two days later, still no answer and no refund, I emailed them promptly, and they informed me the 500.00 was a consultation fee, I disagreed, neither thier website states that to call them costs 500 nor their forms they emailed to me, nothing at all. Plus, I informed them of other tax consultants I have called that do NOT charge for over the consult.

Then the Taxmaster Rep, David Pesquera, change his stance, and said I had to contact his manager, Osca Pina. I emailed him promptly. Aug. 13th, Osca said I have three days for a refund, but, that is not stated anywhere in print or writing nor did the rep say that, nonetheless, I had emailed them in plenty of time about the problem and that I could not use their service..

I got my Wells Fargo Banker on the line with Osca Pina, and he thought of every idea possible to keep my money, then stated I just have to fax in a signed cancellation; I asked how can I cancel a service I have not yet employed. Still, Osca persisted, the Wells Fargo agent said they must give him 30 days to refund the money. Thus, I have faxed him my signed cancellation every day, and no one has responded that they received and I have not gotten my money back.

Then I searched the internet, and founds tons of people being ripped off by TaxMaster, I forwarded all this information to Wells Fargo. I am expecting Wells Fargo to reverse the charge, and we will see.

I filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General, online.

I can tell the people at TaxMaste are skilled scammers at taking and keeping money, they know that even a big bank like Wells Fargo will not act, thus, they keep the money, I do not believe I will ever see that deposit again. Pass this one, protect others.

Also, I canceled my CC after this, as they would still have access to the account, and yours too.
