Tech Solutions, Inc. Fraudulent Employment Company - Asks for Banking Info via Yahoo Messenger Orlando Florida

This company placed an ad for an accounting clerk on Craigslist. After submitted a resume as requested. I was contacted a few days later via email where I was instructed to contact a Mr. Michael Wood via Yahoo Messenger at vacanciesinterview@yahoo.com. After signing into Yahoo, Mr. Wood asked me a few seemingly job related questions. Then he asked which bank I used. I refused to answer, explaining that I did not feel comfortable giving my banking information over an unsecured internet connection.

He continued to persist, insisting that I either needed to provide my banking information so that I could be paid by bank transfers or that I would need to set up an account with Citibank so that I could be paid via direct deposit. After repeating my concerns about the unsecured internet connection, Mr. Woods replied: "the company is legit". I then replied that I don't know of any 'legit' company that requests personal banking information via Yahoo Messenger.

Please beware of this company and of this type of scam. I am a college student desperately looking for a job. Fortunately I was able to see through this scam before it got any worse.
