Teddy Porges Theodore Porges, Obsidian Capital Advisors Inc. Gave him a client referral. He Reneged on an agreement to pay referral fee. Promised six times the check was in the mail. Told me to sue him. Ft. Lauderdale Florida

 In October of 2016 I referred a friend to Teddy Porges, a mot gage banker, for a loan on her properties. He agreed to pay me 1pt on the value of the loan. This was a hand shake agreement based on over 15 years of friendship and having done numerous business deals together. Without keeping me informed He organized a $200,000 loan on a property in Wilton Manors Fl.and closed in early December 2016. He did not reveal to me that he did the loan until three weeks after when I confronted him about it . Said I didn't give him a chance to pay me and he would put a check in the mail. After six times telling me the check was in the mail he finally told me to sue him for it. As we were talking a few thousand dollars I decided to walk away and never refer him or do business with him again . I have recently discovered he organized a second loan which we had discussed in October for the same client in the amount of $2,000,000. He also kept that a secret from me. I had not decided how to proceed to possibly sue him for my referral fee when I ran into him last night. I did not speak to him but sat across the restaurant in full few and just stared at him. He got up and left but then sent me a text and threatened me with a law suit, said he would " bury me for a long time and it will cost me a lot of money" He further stated if I " mess with him he will Destroy" me. This from someone who did not keep his side of the agreement. Do not do business with him, he cannot be trusted and you should be aware that he has struggled with alcohol and drug additions for many years. He is unprofessional, underhanded and greedy.
