I received an email advertisement from a friend for Pedi-paws pro, a nile filer for my dog.  He had originally purchased this product from the inventor for $80 several years ago and loved it.  However,  since then, this product is now manufactured and marketed by Telebrands and is much less expensive (should have been my first red flag).   The email link to the website for PediPaws Pro (by TeleBrands) stated that if I purchased one for $19.95, I would receive a 2nd for $9.95 plus $7.99 for shipping.  My friend wanted another one, so I ordered both for a total of $37.97 including the shipping on 8/4/14.  Shipping would take 3 to 6 weeks - But wait!!  If I wanted priority shipping, all I had to do was pay another $10 and the products would ship within 3 to 5 business days.  That sounded fishy so I declined that offer.   The order confirmation I printed online said it could take up to 48 hours to get into their system when I would then receive an email confirmation.  3 days later, I was still not in their system on line, nor did I receive any email confirmation.  When I called the customer service line the automated system stated that my order would not be shipped until September 15th! This is 8 weeks after placing the order where I was told it would ship within 3 to 6 weeks.  The agent said it was because the order was backordered.  Now I'm really distrustful so I said I wanted to cancel the order - but wait!  Because he wanted to keep my business, he offered to take $10 off the order which he stated was $47.97 and would sell it to me for $37.97 - which is the original amount on my printed invoice!     Now I really don't trust this company and told him I definitely wanted to cancel the order.  I asked for a cancellation confirmation and he said it was the order number.  When I read it back to him, he said that was not the confirmation number only a 'reference number for the order'.  HUH?  He gave me a different order number that was completely different from the invoice and said that was the confirmation.    Bottom line?  I would never do business with Telebrands.  The information was misrepresented 3 times! And, I was going to be overcharged $10 from the invoice I printed on line!  If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is!!!
