I WROTE 3 HOT CHECKS. Okay so there. We all make mistakes and that was mine. I immediately went to the merchant (Wal Mart) paid with a money order for the entire amount owed including fees at the local store.

I continued to get threatening letters and am unable to write checks due to "having unresolved" checks.

I have faxed copies of the money orders repeatedly, although I am told by the oh-so-LOVELY staff over there at Telecheck that while there IS a fax MACHINE to fax "research" issues, there is actually no one in the department who can verify that they recieve the fax.

Wal Mart (THEIR CLIENT) has been involved, called, faxed, etc. Despite, Telecheck has a revolving excuse that "they have not received such fax".

Now they have taken $ from my bank account to cover 1 of the checks - WHICH I ALREADY PAID!! And directly from the mouth of the dingbat who I had the pleasure of talking to the last time "oh, and you can pay the other check when you want to."

IIIIEEEEEE!!!!!!! Get a clue TELECHECK!!!

I am interested in putting together a class-action suit if others have similar problems with this joke of a company.

We use telecheck for our buisness. You give us your check. We run it through the machine. If the check is approved two things can happen. I can flip the check over and run it backthrough and it imprints the telecheck info. on the check and we do a normal bank deposit. Or, we also can do a EFT on the check. Check goes back into the machine and VOID is printed all over your check. Machine prints a reciept the cust. signs that explains the EFT. The voided check is given back to the customer.

Now if the check is declined. Now as merchant we can do two things. Tell the customer their check does not meet our standards and give them the slip the machine prints out and offer to take a bank check card or credit card. Or if it a customer we know ask some question as have they changed banks, had checks reported stolen etc. If this were the case we would accept the check and hope for the best rather then irk a customer.

Yes, people bounce checks. Yes, most honest people will come in and make them good. However when they don't I have the option of sending the bad check to telechech and they will pay us the face value of the check and try to collect from the check writer.

So what I can only assume happened in this case. Consumer went in to WalMart and gave them M.O.(s) to cover the checks. However they did not get the returned checks back they paid WalMart for. These we sent to Telecheck and WalMart got paid again for them and the consumer got added to the bad guys list and telecheck is attempting to collect again on them. I think the only way to get this resolved is for the consumer to go back to WalMart and try to explain to them they made the the checks good at the store BUT WalMart screwed up and sent them to telecheck for collection and have them contact telecheck to get it resolved. FYI, sending copies for the M.O.'s doesn't do any good if they have the checks you gave WalMart. Hope This Helps
