Windstream continues to rip off consumers and as a small business, ours has become just one of many they've stepped on in order to collect the over one billion dollars they do each year. Their sales associates are wonderful at roping you in and making you believe you will receive a good product and great customer service, neither of which is true.
We have fought with them for months, all while continuing to pay for their "service" while trying to get our phone lines ported out to another company, one who has put countless hours in to helping us try to get away from these crooks! Thanks AT&T ;) Windstream comes up with completely rediculous reasons to deny the requests each time. We have now spent over 8 weeks trying to get a request to port our lines back to AT &T, still denied, last weeks reason from Windstream was my favorite, on Wednesday, we were informed that they required a version 8 of the document to port lines out (titled a LSR local service request), then on Friday when it was denied yet again, they stated that they were requiring version 10...really windstream you changed through 2 versions of this form in 2 days??
While they may barely manage to stay within what is legal, all morals and ethics have clearly gone out the window with this company. I would rather do without any phones than ever deal with them. Forget trying to talk to anyone who is actually working on your account...thats even more of a joke, they will flat out tell you thats against their "policy". They are horrid, stay far far far away from them because once you've signed on their dotted line, you only matter to them if your bill doesn't get paid, other than that, they couldn't care less about their customers. Pitiful! This company is a great example of big business in this country making money off those who can't afford it in underhanded ways. Congrats Windstream, you win that award, but its the only one you'll get!
