Telesolutions seemed like a great place to work to get some extra money for Christmas this year. The people are pretty friendly (when they want to be) and it's a decent atmosphere when you are working in the call rooms.

However, the first thing that turned this all right company into a not so good company was the fact that you are not allowed to take the scripts that you read home with you. You are allowed to take the magazines that they offer as well as the rebuttals, but not the script. You are also never allowed to know what goes on in the closing department (when you get the customer to agree to the magazine offer, they are then sent over to the closing department). This unsettled me because we weren't allowed to tell the customers if they can pay for their subscription without using their credit cards as well as we couldn't tell them any of the 'many different payment plans' Telesolutions have to offer.

We also have to lie about where we are from. We have to say that we are with Top Publication Services in Draper Utah.

Persons who we call have to specifically say "take me off the DO NOT CALL list" to be removed from the calling for a couple months (If they were to say "take me off whatever list I am on" we are to disposition them under 'Not Interested' and therefore will be called again soon.

The only persons we are not allowed to hassle to buy magazines are persons over the age of 65 or under the age of 18. We have to push for sales for everyone else (including the mentally handicapped!).

The script is not very clear! Half the people I was calling thought they had to purchase magazines to be entered into the draw. I was told not to tell them otherwise.

"..And for participating in our promotion today you will also receive a men's or ladie's DIAMOND watch. It's GOEGEOUS so I know you'll love it..." It is not a diamond watch. The man who trained us showed us the watch and it looks like it came from the dollar store and there are definately no diamonds on it anywhere.

Now aside from their sketchy practices, they are a pain in the butt to deal with after you have quit.

I had to quit because I was having anxiety attacks.

After I quit I went to get my second pay cheque, and I was told that I couldn't get it until the end of the month because they have different payroll for people who quit.

I was also NOT paid for training and was missing an entire day's pay from my last cheque.

My friend, who was also working there at the same time as myself, ended up quitting as well.  She quit because she was sick one day and was then made fun of infront of everyone in her call room the next day she showed up to work (apparantly her team leader didn't think she was sick and thought to make an example of her).

She also DID NOT get paid for training as well as she is missing 12 hours of work from her pay cheque.

As a side note, the first thing they tell you in training is that it's paid training.

So I know there are a couple more things that are missing from rant, but that's all I got for now.

#3 UPDATE Employee

so confused

AUTHOR: CC - (Canada)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 07, 2010

i work at telesolutions right now. I do not like working there at all. But finding a job is so hard. I want to be a closer, so maybe somebody could tell me what a closer does so I understand the job better. Is it true that we steal peoples credit and mess up there lifes? I am so confused. I have been there for 4 weeks maybe 3 weeks. I have missed a couple days and am not good at sales. I heard they fire people for not making enough sales is that true?

I thought they only fired people if they yelled at customers or swore at them? I am planning on quitting sometime soon, because I cannot handle the people yelling at me. But the room I am in is awesome the people are so nice to me as well.

I should have known something was up with the pay when I was there for my interview. Dang now I am worried I will be missing money when I do quit. But telesolutions is misleading to potential employees as well. It says on the banner you can make up to 10,12, 15 dollars an hour. Most are sitting around 9.44 an hour. Which is not good pay at all. They changed so much and are not rewarding any of us in there.

This is serious

First of all, I am obviously using a fake name, however anyone looking for more information, please E-mail me.

Now, I worked at tele solutions at 1760 main street, Winnipeg for almost a year. This is an absolute scam. We are encouraged to mislead customers and dodge their concerns.....not to mention "race" to get them off of the phone.

These people are vulnerable, naive and desperate......we were ruining peoples lives and their credit.

Anyone working here or planning on working here, PLEASE be advised. This company should be infiltrated and shut down immediately.

If you are a TSR, and believe the sweepstakes are real, PLEASE be advised it is make believe. We are stealing personal information, along with credt card numbers.

I closed for 6 months, and felt awful almost every night because I was quite good....

Hi my name is ashley and I put a report about this company as a consumer. The reason they tell you to lie about all this is because they are scamming their customers. I trusted your company with my information and they misused it. I just wanted to let you know to spread the word for people trying to work there I have read other reports from employees just like you and they all quit as well.

This happened just four days ago to me luckily they couldn't get any money from my card.

if you needed any more information about it look at my report. It is by me, Ashley and has the title "Dream Come True Sweepstakes Scam + Free Magazines Scam Used to steal card information"

Or just look for more on telesolutions.
