Despite the fact that our call center services Bank of America cx accounts, and manages millions of dollars per day, Teletech opted out of drug testing at this site. Those of us who don't use and abuse find it outrageous. Many of our co-workers are high as kites on pot, pills and booze. Many qualified emp have left because they can't work in this unstable environment.
As the result of the recent accidental death of a 28 yr old co-worker that may have been caused by a lethal mix of presription drugs, which are traded at work like stocks on Wall Street, I feel unable to remain employed there any longer. I contacted local law agencies regarding the flagrant abuse of prescription drugs at Teletech Kalispell only to learn that they are well aware of the problem but unable to do anything about it. They are unwelcome at the site. I doubt that Bank of America is even aware that this site does not test and that many of the reps answering calls are medicated and stoned while handling cx.
I have been deeply offended by the conversations I've overheard on topics ranging from what combinations of pain pills, tranquillizers and muscle relaxers work best to which area dr.'s are most likely to prescribe and how to get multiple scripts. I've witnesses drug deals, females puking in the rest room and supervisors eyes rolling back in their heads like Anna Nicole when they have taken too many Oxycontin.
Teletech had created a safe haven for all the young employees who engage in these dangerous, illegal activities and it utterly infuriates me.

Why drug test, the legalized drug dealers (Physicians) would be the ones giving the test. The reason I quit is because Teletch hires idiots to run there facility and manage the floor.

First of all... I was a Supervisor at Teletech during the time you filed this complaint and I don't know any other supervisors that worked there at that time that were on oxycontin other than myself. I was never overly sedated and I took my medication as prescribed. I was very close to all the other supervisors as well... including my dear friend that I lost and unless you were extremely close to him or were the doctor that performed his autopsy I would appreciate you not blaming anything on his death because I'm sure you haven't the slightest right to do so. It hurts to see someone I care about being brought up in such a matter. Also, I was prescribed this medication and was never trading with anyone however you seem to want to rope all employees/supervisors currently and formerly employed by Teletech in with a few bad seeds.... which, might I add.... there will ALWAYS be a few bad seeds in a company that is employing approximately 500 people on average. So I ask you.... what is the REAL reason you left Teletech?

I've worked there for quite a while now and have yet to see anybody passing around illegal drugs. You sound more like a disgruntled employee that would be better suited flipping burgers at the BK in the K Mart parking lot ;-)

Personally you sound like a self righteous twit who would inform on your fellow employees. I am always glad to hear of a company that does not violate its employee's rights by drug testing. If I worked a sh## job in a call center and had to put up with the abuse of supervisors I would probably use drugs too!
