Every single complaint I've read that's posted on this site against Teleten Marketing, is basically the same exact problems we also experienced from this company and the people who work there. By the way, I was told the owner's name was David Buddan, but I am now reading conflicting info. Anybody out there who can confirm the owner or owners names, I would appreciate any clarification as to who and how many actual onwers there are? As I am worn out and done trying to communicate with crooks and am now moving forward with our small claims lawsuit against Teleten.

I paid $1,200 for 45 leads back in October of 2004. We were promised high quality Exclusive Leads - What a Blatant Lie that was! It is now the end of January 2006 and we were faxed very sporadically, approximately two dozen "sheets of paper", I cannot call them "leads" because None of these sheets of paper were anything more than just that - paper with some scribble on them!!!! Half of the names on the sheet would hang up on us almost immediately after we introduced ourselves and my company - the other half didn't even fit the parameters (or filters) we set prior to sending our check. Another common thread in the other complaints posted against Teleten - I too, grew tired and frustrated with leaving numerous voice-messages and never receiving a returned call?

I have been requesting and then demanding a full refund since July of 2005. I finally got a faxed 3 page letter from a Mr. David Buddan two days ago(I was told he was the owner?), but I was puzzled as to why he was finally making contact after all this time, yet he sent 3 pages of dialogue, yet said nothing? I actually expected for a moment to read some insulting offer for settlement of a refund? Then I realized he only wrote this fax addressed to me to satisfy a response to the BBB and the compliant I filed there that they were following up on. The BBB was referenced with a cc: on page 3. Teleten and its owner(s) have NO intentions of everissuing any refunds, and they've got almost 50 Mortgage Company's extremely upset with them on this site alone.

Has anyone else out there taken Teleten Marketing to Court yet or filed any litigation paperwork against them? I am now the 45th or so, angry mortgage broker who's been ripped off by Teleten, posting a complaint on this site. There is obvious strength in numbers, and if we all support one another and fill up the Courts dockets all over the Southland, that might finally get their attention? My company's lawsuit will be filed within the next week in Civil Court (North Court Div. Fullerton, CA). I also will contact our mortgage associations - CAMB, NAMB, along with The Washington D.C. Bureau of Fraudulent and disceptive business practices, and I mentioned I have already filed a formal complaint with the BBB. We're all telling each others same story, proving there most certainly is a pattern of deception that Teleten is operating by. I'm glad I found this website, I only regret I didn't come across it 14 months ago? Could've saved me and my firm a whole lotta grief.

I sued and won

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 10, 2006

The problem is the owners of the company have formed an LLC and are not collectable individually. My attorney, who is my wife, completed the paperwork, I went to the LA County Courthouse, won a default judgement, however, I have not received anything yet. I was promised in contract to receive monthly payments back, covering the amount I had originally spent. As of yet......nothing. Good luck all, you live and learn I guess

This is NOT RIGHT!!!!!!!

We were ripped off by these people as well. Absolutely unbelievable!! They got us for $3600!

What's even more upsetting is the fact that Teleten and their sales people are taking advantage of someone else as we speak. I wish there was a way for all of us to seek joint restituion or atleast shut them down.

This is not the first time this company has done this. They have been several other names over the last 10 years. They simply open under another name. This is a white collar crime that deserves jail time as far as I am concerned. It would make things a lot easier if we could contact one another.

I don't see how it is possible considering they usually delete phone numbers. Future customer's beware!

I signed a contract in Jaunary of 2006. Please let me know how I can contact any of you. I know I may not get my money back, but I would spend a little more to make sure these guys are put out of business.

I am in CO also and have just now begun the process of having my lawyers start the process of getting our money back. I'd love to get all of us together and do something.
How are your processes going so far?
Any insight as to how we should approach this situation?
Thanks and have a great day.

Follow up

I included my phone number in my first response but they took it off and didn't explain that. Because I'm in Colo, I've looked into the small claims approach. They've told me I won't get my expenses back. Also, you should do a search on just "Teleten." There are over 50 complaints under that name on this site. I'm glad you're going forward. How can I e-mail you?

UPDATE Response for Steve in Denver

AUTHOR: Tom - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 10, 2006

Are you planning to file a small claims lawsuit, as I have done? The law in Cali is - you can file a Small Claims suit up to $5,000 in a calendar year. Is it similar in Denver? As previously mentioned, What is the name of your firm, as I would like to mention you to the Judge when I go to my hearing in April, and visa versa.

I have also printed All 44 complaints (mine was the 45th) about TeleTen from this website to use for Court. When I filed my complaint with the BBB (teleten has an F rating with the BBB), they responded back 3 weeks later, stating No one responded to their numerous attempts to contact Teleten about my complaint? When I was filing my lawsuit, the clerk, even had a hunch that David Buddan a.k.a. David Alexander might not even show for Court? Of course After receiving a favorable judgement from the Court - then the fun begins; collecting the judgement.

I was made aware that if Mr. Buddan tries to "hide" his bank accounts or move them around, he would then be adding Jail Time to his Scam!!! I will not rest until I receive my money back. I know this matter takes away from us mortgage guys Earning our living doing loans, but that is precisely why David Buddan thinks nobody will take the time to Sue and then have to collect their judgements.

If more of us "Step Up" and file lawsuits (no attorneys needed) two things will happen. #1 the first few of us that get court ordered judgements Will get our money back, but #2 At the very least we will eventually put Teleten "on the ropes" and Out of Business. I'd be just as content with Mr. Buddan serving some jail time - that's where crooks belong! White Collar Robbery is no different than some guy robbing a store - theft is theft!! Let me know your thoughts on how you propose we "team up", O.K.

Tom P.

Thanks for posting your problems with Teleten (Teleten Marketing). I too was ripped off by Teleten and have been trying to figure out what to do. I ahve also filed complaints with the LA BBB, and various state and federal agencies.

For the money I paid, I received nothing at all! No leads whatsoever. Yes, let's work together to stop this company!
