Template Monster Manager Mark Woods Template Monster Sells Old Obsolete Templates then Wants to Charge You for the Help You're Going to Need Sunny Isles Beach, FL Florida

My client picked a WordPress template from Template Monster they liked over a year ago and I just started working on it. Well, when I got into the editor, I realized it had been written in 2011. Needless to say it's not functional, and the most important thing I needed for the site I spent 5 hours with their lame, that word is not nearly strong enough, tech support.

The bottom line is they sell unusable templates and the tech support is useless, possibly by design, SO THIS IS THE THING - they want you to pay for the help they give you that was caused by the templates being old and obsolete to begin with. 

I finally got through to a manager, Mark Woods, after arguing with the tech people and Mr. Woods said very rudely by the way, the template was written in 2013, which was a lie, and he made it clear he wasn't going to help in any way unless I wanted to pay more for what I should have gotten to begin with. He made a point of telling me he wouldn't give me a refund, when in fact that had not even crossed my mind, I just wanted the problem with the template resolved. 

By the way, they don't allow you to leave a review, I tried, and the one review for this template was a 5 star and there have been no other ratings for 5 years, so you can draw your own conclusions.

I've seen complaints on them on other sites and they have someone in there from Template Monster saying "they're sorry". Well BFD. Sorry doesn't cut it. 

In the 8 years I've been working with WordPress, I have never run across anything like this or complained about a template company. Trust me, steer clear of Template Monster, you are better off with a free template off of the internet.
