We hired Ben to do some cement work etc at our home.  He was to put in a driveway along side of our home and add to the existing drive between the sidewalk and street. Put in a sidewalk from the city walk up to our steps. It had been started by someone else but due to health reason had not finished the job. Ben ran the sidewalk as ask. Done some brick work that was not ask to be done, step up to pour the drive and couldn't seem to get it poured. He was paid $700+ for the cement and we kept at him as to why it wasn't done. Finally one day Ben told me he had used to money to pay child support, which I told him it wasn't my probably as he'd been paid. Mistake by my husband in making a check out to him instead of the cement company itself. The extended sides to our driveway we paid the cement company directly, he also took on a little job with our neighbors, and did it along with the extended sides at the same time.  We paid for that cement and later found out that Ben also collected from our neighbor. We paid the cement company the $500 for the cement for our driveway as that's what Ben told my husband that it would take to finish the job. Now we get bills from the cement company say we owe another $300. We will not pay it as Ben ordered the cement we didn't, and feel that so far we have overpaid this person.

Just want everyone to know out there that in hiring Ben don't give him any money to buy things with as who knows where it will go. He also stole cleaned bricks from our back yard. He brought some back but they weren't the ones he took. Also took lumber.
