PSA: DON'T NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO Ten Minute Oil Change located at 3407 W. Camp Wisdom, Dallas, TX 75237!

On June 30, 2015, in preparation for a mother/daughter road trip to the beach in Corpus Christie, TX, my daughter took her 2013 Chevrolet Spark in to Ten Minute Oil Change located at 3407 W. Camp Wisdom, Dallas, TX 75237. She got a full service oil change and paid $34.58. Then on Thursday, July 2, 2015, she and I packed up out little “Sparkie” and took off on our exciting adventure. We were so happy and looking forward to our first every trip to the beach and also our very first trip together as mom and daughter. Just the two of us best friends heading out to see the ocean, get some sun and have lots of fun! We hit the road about 10:30am and with Pandora blasting our favorite tunes we were off. We made a rest stop and Frappuccino break in just south of Waco and the car was fine. We got back on the road and continued on to Georgetown, where we spotted a Walmart. Bailey realized she forgot her beach towel, so we swung in to pick one up. It was just and in and out which as you know id very startling for Walmart especially around a holiday.  We hopped back in the car and pulled out onto the access road of I35 South and we immediately smelled a burning odor and saw a poof of smoke form the rear of the car. The oil light on the dash began to blink furiously. We stopped in the middle of the road terrified. A few passersby came to our rescue and pushed the car over onto a side street. When we got out and lifted the hood oil was shooting out all over the place. I called my roadside assistance and were taken to Don Hewlett Chevrolet  in Round Rock, TX. This is where we found out that the oil filter was improperly installed and as a result when the oil pressure built up from driving the car the filter was blown off and all the oil leaked out. We were very blessed that the motor was not blown but the oil shooting all over under the hood caused 2 of the O2 sensors to short circuit. Since the parts had to be ordered and it was now after 4pm It would not be until the following day that the parts would be available and the repair would cost $534.18.

The next morning, Friday, July 3rd, I called the Ten Minute Oil Change and asked for the owner or manager. I was told I needed to speak with Moe. A man got on the phone and said he was Moe. He then said oh you need the other Moe. A second man got on the phone. I told him the story of what happened and that we were stranded and he was very apologetic and said please give him a few minutes and he would call me back. After a half an hour I never heard back and I called again. I spoke with a mal who answered to Moe. He stated he was no the Moe I needed and that that Moe was not available and he will need to call me back. I told him I was told that already and that I was stranded and he never called me back. The man on the phone was very rude and asked me what I want him to do about it. He can’t make him get on the phone and then he hung up on me. I called back and I spoke with a different man who said that he will give Moe a message. Needless to say, no one from their establishment has bothered to call contact me. I called this morning and spoke with Moe again. He asked me to fax over the paperwork from the repairs and he will have his loss prevention person to get in touch with me. However, he never asked for my name, phone number or anything. He also refused to give me any information other than a fax number for the "loss prevention" person.

I have filed with Better Business Bureau of Dallas and contacted Becky Oliver with Fox News all I want is reimbursement for the cost of the repairs to my daughters car and the cost of the hotel room totaling $642.28.
