I moved into Teresa Bisono's house and lived there renting a room for just a little over a month. Upon move in i gave her first and deposit in the amount of $500 each. The day that i was leaving she refused to return my deposit, knowing that i had a train to catch and there was nothing i could do about it at the time. This was despite her telling me the night before that she would return it no problem as she had absolutely no reason to keep it. There was no damage to the house and she changed the agreement without discussing it with me first simply so she could keep the money. Her excuse for keeping the $500 deposit was for any overages on utilities despite the fact that she originally said the utilities were included. She claimed i took advantage of washing my clothes too much even though i explained to her earlier that month that i had limited my use of utilities much more so than i had at any other place i had lived, due to the fact that the utilities were supposed to be included and i didnt want to take advantage of that. She stated the utility bills were higher yet never showed me the difference between last years and this years bills. She made these excuses so she could keep my deposit. The day that i left, she left her unstable friend with me who she knew was very aggressive and left without even resolving things with me about the deposit even though i explained how much i needed the return of my money. A warning to people that go into these types of rental situations, get it in writing and watch who you rent from.
