Lets see..
Let me understand, I mean..
you called a number out of a newspaper and gave them your credit card
now just step back and read that.. I'll type it again
you called a number OUT of a newspaper and GAVE them your credit card
It sounds terrible when you put it like that.
Now lets see why you're really upset! I bet you're thinking "I need a job right now".. You can try going to McDonald's or Burger King for a job on the spur of the moment. You can go in and they will give you a nice greasy application and you can go talk to the fry cook about getting a job there. That's a simple job.
The post office, however, is a much more serious position and requires alot more than just walking in, handing over an application, and talking to a manager..
There's actually a more professional way for the post office to hire their candidates as working there is being hired in as a federal employee... They do require you to take an exam to which the higher that you score the sooner that you can begin.. the worse you do on the exam, the far less of a chance that you will have to go forward.
The refund policy states the following
You are refunded upon your request if
1. you fail the exam
2. if you are not offered a job on the first interview
3. when you complete your first full week as a new postal employee
They go on to say that if there are no job openings within 100 miles within 12 months requiring exam 460, 473, or 473-C.
there's also a professional profile that the post office requires you to fill out...
why not give the customer service department a call and ask them NICELY to help you with the profile and instructions for moving forward.
Hope this helps!
