Texas Auto Liquidators, LLC Don't get faked out by the photos on this companys website like I did. Arlington, Texas

The issues began when I received the 2002 Audi A8L on/or around July 15, 2009. I received the vehicle with several chips and stress cracks in the windshield. The website photos did not show this. The passenger side mirror housing was cracked and held together by the "invisible bra" piece for the mirror housing. The color of the vehicle in the website photos appears differently than the actual color of the Audi A8 in the website photos. The passenger side tail light housing was cracked and that too was not shown in the photos of the vehicle online. The total  replacement parts cost me $407.60, right off the back. The front cigarette lighter was not working due to debris in it to causing it to pop fuses. The cigarette lighter was replaced for $144.72.

Scott, an employee from Texas Auto Liquidators, LLC., (7445 US Hwy 287, Arlington, TX  76001 817-483-5666) told me via phone conversation prior to purchasing the vehicle that the Audi A8 had a full sized spare tire. Upon arrival of the vehicle there was no spare tire in the trunk. I purchased a used space-saver spare tire from Shokan Coachworks INC. (0 High Point Road, West Shockan, NY  12494, 800-255-2834) for $145.00. Mr. Bartlett owner of Bartlett Auto Transport (Canton, GA 214-914-8932) delivered the car and claimed that the Audi A8 was delivered in the exact same condition as when he picked it up from Texas Auto Liquidators, LLC. August 01, 2009 I requested the 100,000 mile service done on the Audi A8 from Audi MB Porsche of Albuquerque (8920 Pam American FRWY. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113, 505-821-4000).

I was informed that the Audi A8 had a cracked CV boot and needed replacing. The entire service, labor, and replacement CV boot cost me approximately $760.00.  August 08, 2008 I took the vehicle to Alamo Auto Glass (11555 Pellicano, El Paso, TX 79936, 915-590-9933) to have the windshield replaced, due to the stress cracks and chips within the drivers view. I paid $163.25. The website pictures do not show any damage to the windshield. With the windshield replaced, I was required to replace the state inspection sticker. July 17, 2009 I was provided a TIMS Reprint of an inspection that was done at Unico Automotive Inc (Station Number 1P37621/SE490341, Inspector Ella Urby) by an El Paso, Texas Vehicle Inspection Station. There was no address on the inspection report for the station that performed this inspection.  This TIMS reprint inspection showed an overall result of "Pass." It was executed when the odometer read 105,462 miles. I was charged $39.50 for this inspection by Texas Auto Liquidators, LLC.

However, August 08, 2009 I took the Audi A8 to Bridgestone Firestone Lee (Station Number 4P02755/ES620931, Inspector Mr. Rush) and the vehicle "Failed." Two fault codes appeared, P0441 and P0492. At this time the check engine light was present and the odometer read 106,822. This cost me an additional $26.75. August 11, 2009 I took it to Mr. Smith (ASE Certified) at J&L Motorsports ( 1063A Hawkins Blvd., El Paso, TX 79915, 915-775-2033) to have the car diagnosed. The Audi A8 had dried masonry under the entire underside of the vehicle. The vehicle was also missing the under engine splash guard. This guard protects the engine, alternator, and several key components and wiring. Mr. Smith had not seen anything like it and neither had I. It was packed into spaces around the evaporation and fuel return lines. J&L Motorsports removed only enough to repair the leak. Mr. Smith recommended that all dried masonry was removed and all damaged lines replaced with new lines. The repair cost me $535.27.

The quote to remove all dried masonry was $145.00. I paid Mr. Avita at Unique Paint, Dent & Detail $500.00 (5544 East Paisano, El Paso, TX  79905, 915-881-8585) to:  remove any and all dried masonry, remove and replace side mirror housings, remove and replace passenger side taillight housing, and completely detail (interior and exterior) the Audi A8. There were several nicks and scratches in the paint on the vehicle doors and rear bumpers that are not shown in the website pictures. August 14, 2009 I returned to Bridgestone Firestone Lee to have the vehicle re-inspected, with the odometer reading 107,066. The check engine was no longer present and I "Passed" the inspection receiving my Texas inspection sticker. September 17, 2009 the check engine light reappeared and all the gear selectors in the dash lit up. Press the accelerator and the engine revs to around/or about 4000 RPMs and barely moves, until it shifts into 3rd gear.

The Audi A8 would go into "limp home mode" and stay that way until the vehicle is restarted, where it would continue to reoccur. I drove the vehicle to GPS International Automotive (9421 Carnegie, El Paso, TX  79925, 915-590-2255). GPS had the vehicle for a week and Mr. Schmidt told me that my transmission was "fried." I then paid $50 to have the car towed on a flat bed truck to Texican Transmission & Motors (4495 Titanic, El Paso, TX  79904, 915-755-8048). John from Texican Transmission & Motors had the Audi A8 from 25-28 September 2009. John told me that he couldn't do anything for me. September 29, 2009 I took the vehicle to Guthrie's Transmission (101 Rio Flor Pl, El Paso, TX  79912, 915-584-6917). They kept the vehicle until October 01, 2009. They told me that I needed a vehicle speed sensor (VSS) to fix the problem. The VSS did not come in by October 01, 2009, when I needed it. I ordered a different VSS (Part #01F-409-191) from Audi MB Porsche of Albuquerque (8920 Pam American FRWY. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113) and it cost me $60.00.

After I had spent $109.43 (with expedited shipping) on the first VSS (Part #01V-927-321A)  from Audi Albuquerque that was the wrong speed sensor. Further, I purchased an automatic transmission filter kit with an additional quart of automatic transmission fluid from BLAUfergnugen! Inc. (4921 County Road CR, Manitowoc, WI  54220) for $174.57. October 3, 2009 Mesa Transmissions (4162 N Mesa St., El Paso, TX  79902, 915-577-0135) drained the transmission fluid in an attempt to install the first VSS I purchased from Audi MB Porsche of Albuquerque and change the transmission fluid. This is when I was informed that it was the wrong VSS that was requested from Audi MB Porsche of Albuquerque. October 5, 2009 I took the vehicle back to Guthrie's Transmission to wait for the correct vehicle speed sensor. The VSS I ordered from Rector Audi (1010 Cadillac Way, Burlingame, CA  94010, 1-888-737-5738) for $35.63 didn't make it in time for the appointment scheduled at Audi MB Porsche of Albuquerque on October 09, 2009.

October 05, 2009 I ordered and paid $336.66 for the "baffle" (under engine splash guard) Part # 4D0-863-823-BT. This was also to be installed at Audi MB Porsche of Albuquerque for $181.41. October 09, 2009 the car was diagnosed at Audi MB Porsche of Albuquerque and as it stands I am told the vehicle required a new transmission ($6,887.49), a new secondary air pump hose ($265.25), and a new tie rod ($417.96). It is October 25, 2009 and the final estimate for the work from Audi MB Porsche of Albuquerque, who currently has the Audi A8, is $8,439.74. My issue is that Texas Auto Liquidators, LLC had knowledge that this vehicle has mechanical issues and deliberately withheld this information and sold me this Audi A8 "As Is" through false advertising. I want Texas Auto Liquidators, LLC to either refund my money spent on parts or services performed due to misleading or withheld information or to allow me to return the vehicle minus depreciation calculated by a fair and impartial third-party, with my purchase money refunded. I have all documentation for all services performed, and parts bought. I have all the original photos posted of the Audi A8 from Texas Auto Liquidators, LLC website.
