I was referred to Texas Auto Liquidators by a friend of a friend (who gets a commission from wholesalers when he refers them a buyer), i thought they would be legit but if i had done a little research and looked at reviews i would have been more leery these people have a bad reputation to say the least, and their not trying to improve upon it apparently. I picked out a vehicle on their website and drove up there to check it out buy it and drive it back i had all my paperwork lines up told Greg Thompson who i dealt with at the dealership i would be there at 2pm the following day and he said it would be ready to go. So i drive from Austin to Arlington and get there when i told him and first he says they are just finishing detailing the car for me, ok sounds good to me, about an hour later they come and say, that the battery in the car is dead and they had to take it to the VWagon dealership to have the computer reset and the battery fixed??? What?? now i'm getting nervous but i give them the benefit of the doubt plus its not a brand new car its a 2006, i still haven't seen the car at this point, so i got there at 2 and not until 7:30pm is the car back from the VW dealership, so i finally get to see the car and am just ready to go home, so against my better judgement i paid him for the car $10,995 and drive home.....this is friday night on Sunday, its a ripe 100 degrees in South Texas and my NEW cars air conditioning is not working at all:/ not a happy camper, i called Greg who assures me he will take care of it,( i took it to a shop here and they said the compressor had gone out along with 2 other parts) but Greg said i will have to drive it back to Arlington to let them fix it there, so my Dad drives the car up there early in the morning and they "fix" it and he drove it back at late that night, another day of our time wasted, thanks! The next day the A/C is still not working i take it to the shop and he said they put in a faulty compressor and not a VW part!! WTF?? I call Greg Again, and he assures me he will take care of it but he will have to mail me the part to Austin because they don't get their piece of s**t part discount here at the actual VW dealership, i tell him that it is going to cost me $350 to have the compressor they mail me installed and ask him if they are going to pay for it and he assures me that they will, i have also had to pay $150 for the air conditioning diagnostic to be done TWICE NOW! to conclude, i did receive the compressor in the mail and it worked but he never returned my call after that and never reimbursed me the $350 or the $150 that they cost me not to mention the days of wasted time driving the car up there for them to "fix" it and the 2 weeks of having a car without any A/C, the moral of the story my friends is BUYERS BEWARE!! IF YOU GO TO TEXAS AUTO LIQUIDATORS IN ARLINGTON, TX.
