Texas Independent Bancshares Managment & Payment Verification Award Notification $3150 Check Enclosed Regina Saskatchewan Canada

I received 1) "Award Winning Notification" letter informing me that I was one of the winners of the North American Utilities draw held on Monday, September 24th, 2007. It gave my winning ticket number and stated that I was awarded a lump sum pay out of $46,500.00 USD cash of a total prize money of $25,234,000.00 shared among winners. The notification further stated that they (Texas Independent Bancshares, Inc.), to save me the trouble, has secured, for a percentage surcharge to be paid as a commission ($3,150.00) on my winning prize.

2) They included a $3,150.00 The Talbot Bank check that was written on the "Spring & Associates, Inc." 29565 Chilcutt Road, Easton Md. 21601 account that covers the charges and fees required to be paid before receiving my winning.

3) To avoid multiple claims, they requested that I keep my winnings "confidential" until I receive my prize money ($46,500.00).

4) The letter further requested that I contact a payment coordinator, Anita Miller, at 1-226-200-0343 as soon as possible to finalize the payment process.

It sounded too good to be true so I called "The Talbot Bank"(410-822-1400). The bank's security officer indicated the bank has received numerous calls from all over the country regarding this letter. It's a fraud. The bank asked me to send them the documentation that I received.

The bottom line: It's a SCAM & Fraud...

My next step is to file a complaint with the U.S. Post Office since I got this in the mail.
