The American Monk http://www.theamericanmonk.com/ advertises via email that he gives away 7 free "lessons" on how to meditate to dramatically improve your life.  All you have to do is give them your email address and click the button. However, when you do, you immediately get hit with an ad for a $300 package of proprietary information.

If you manage to ignore that and click, "I just want the free lessons", you get hit with another advertisement for a "free" service, this time daily emails from several other teachers. I've signed up for this kind of email before and it's been haevily laden with more ads to buy these teachers' programs. When I said "No" again, I was taken to a page where which said to enter my email address to receive the free lessons, but every time I entered my address, the screen displayed a message that said, "Oops! There appears to be an error in your email. Please enter the email you used the first time."  I entered exactly the same email as the first time and it kept saying the same thing.

I then looked for contact information to report the problem. There is *no* contact info at all, anywhere on the site. I don't believe that there was any problem with my email address. I don't believe there are any "free lessons". With no contact info and the dishonesty about the "free lessons", I wouldn't give these people my money, my credit card info or even the time of day. Don't even waste your time reading the screens to get to the "free lessons"; there aren't any.
