If you respond to Berman's offer for a 'free' book and CD (I heard the advertising on XM radio) you WILL get the book and cd.

BUT!!!

You will also get several (8) unsolicited cd's and if you don't return them at YOUR expense you will see a charge on your CC about one month later for $99.90

If you call you will wait on hold for quite some time (common problem it appears) and then they will claim they can't 'pull up your account'. Be firm (agressive if need be) and tell them you are NOT going to be put back on hold and they need to figure it out. They will then magically 'find' your customer info and claim you agreed to the $99.90 (Which we all know you did NOT agree to)

They will enter a spiel about wanting 100% customer satisfaction and then ask you if you want to return the extra cd's. If you say yes they will offer you a $25.00 discount, if you decline they will offer you a $50.00, then $75.00.

At that point they will give you a return number, caution you strongly that it has to be recieved by them in 21 days, undamaged (They suggest using a crush-proof container, insurance, delivery confirmation) and then offer you as a last offer $85.00 off. They know that $14.90 is less than the cost of returning it if you follow theire guidelines (If you don't do you really think you are getting a refund?)

I took the final deal, I hated it and despise this type of business practice but I took it.

Best advice: Don't do business with these folks...Ever.
