I've been trying to break into the sports marketing industry since i graduated. I replied to an ad BOTH on Monster.ca and the Toronto Star for a sports marketing position. I went for my first interview and the "manager" sold the opportunity to me just as I wanted to hear it. I was chosen out of 20 applicants to come in for a second interview for the "sports marketing" position. I thought i finally had my opportunity. HAHAHA. I ended up spending the ENTIRE day (11am-9pm) walking around Orangeville, Ont. going door-to-door with an "account manager" (thats what i was told before my 2nd interview) selling Domino's Pizza coupons. I was even bitten in the a*s by a dog from one of the houses that we went to!!! I did not go to college for 3 years to take a door-to-door sales job. It turns out that it wasnt even close to what the "manager" told me the job was about. I live 5 hours away and I wasted my time and money just to follow a door-to-door salesman around. I just hope no one else is as stupid to fall for this trick.

Hey shaun

After i read your post i laughed. I laughed because the exact same thing has more or less happened to me at my job. A gradute after 3 years it disgusts me that these companies think its okay to prey on new grads deperate to make their mark. if your still workign there i say do as little as possible, go hoem early nd do as little as humanly possible. getting paid for nothing is the only way to get even.

Good luck in the future finding feesable work bro. till that fight the man.
