The Brinkmann Corporation Very poor product and even worse customer service Dallas, Texas

I was given (bday gift) a Charmglow 8500 series grill from Home Depot in late 2009.  I have had the grill less than a year and the burners disintegrated last week (I always covered and cleaned regularly after each use) which caused flames to burst out of the front of the grill near the control panel.  All the knobs, valves and wiring was torched.  The grill is not usable.  I contacted Brinkmann on 7/28/2010 and spoke with a customer service rep.  He was short with me and said "no receipt, no warranty".  I told him I could send pictures and the serial number.  He actually laughed at me when I expressed my dissappointment in their cavalier attitude.  I called back the next day (7/29/10) and the same rep acted the same way towards me.  I asked to speak with a supervisor and he said he was the supervisor.  I asked his name and he hung up on me.  I cannot contact anyone else at the compnay because it is a recording which makes you leave your name and number, but the same person calls you back.  I will never purchase a grill manufactered by the Brinkmann corporation again in my lifetime.  This is why Weber is the best grill on earth.  Well made and a company who stands behind their product.  Brinkmann could care a less and their product is diposable garbage.  BUYERS BEWARE!!!
