Complaint Review: The Firestore
The Firestore POOR COSTUMER SERVICE! DELIVERED WRONG PRODUCT! DOES NOT LISTEN TO COSTUMER! www.thefirestore.com Pennsylvania
I purchased well over $1200 in product from The Firestore and it was nothing short of a nightmare. When they sent me the same Sam Houston helmet three times and I sent it back twice, they finally sent me the correct one. I called and emailed the company explaining that the helmat was the incorrect one, but they semed to have their own interpretation of what their product discription is on their web sight.
I wonder why their policy is to have the buyer pay for all returned items!!! Yep, they wanted me to pay for the return shipping, but...
I figure it took me an additional 5 hours of my time emailing, calling, and driving to FED EX to drop off the wrong helmet. (and not to mention time now to write this complaint) I was so frustrated with their costumer service and thats why I am here writing this, to warn you and to tell others.
...after making 3 phone calls and the last one to Jim Witmers office, the CEO, I was able to have the return shipping removed. When I called his office the secretary asked who I was. I gave her my name and requested to soeak to Mr. Witmer. She told me she would transfer my call, but then asked me what it was in refernce to? I advised her I was paying return shipping and felt I did not deserve to. The secretary then told me he just stepped in a meeting but forwarded my request to a supervisor and she was able to get it return shipping removed. So. after begging the sales department to remove the return shipping I had to call Mr. Witmers office to get resolve.

I have no problems with mistakes but when the sales department became arguementative and accusing me that I was wrong, I had had enough. It would be apparant this is how they do business and I hope you will have second thoughts about doing business with them. They are not the cheapest company on the internet either, but I thought I would be paying for a little professionalism and sophistication with a large company like this. I was dead wrong!!!
Of course the other products I ordered had a long waiting period, and I ended up sending back the flashlight and exchanging it because... do I need to explain why! Yep, you are right it was the wrong one!
I asked for 10% discount for all of my frustration and additional time spent on my order but I goy a "NO" from the sales person and a chuckle. She said they do not do things like that.
So, think twice before ordering from The Firestore, The EMSSTORE, or any of the other Witmer companies because they are all the same.
